QB Brock Purdy Thread

Not his best game, but he did check some more of the boxes people were looking for (playing from behind, playing well in the 4th after not playing great the first three quarters, and executing a game-winning drive).

If he just throws that INT where it's supposed to go, this looks more like an excellent game than an okay game. Hopefully he learns.
Couple of late and innacurate throws to Kittle and Jennings. Seem like floaters to allow his players to get under it. Missed 1 or 2 open options later. I don't know if he didn't get in a rhythm early when the Raiders held the ball too long in the first half. But… I like that he got this playoff atmosphere type game and faced some adversities. He was cool and collected under pressure and he made some clutch throws! The Int wasn't a back breaker and Kittle could have at least batted away. Overall, I give him a solid B in this game.

Brock needed this kind of game. Made ugly throws, but also made the necessary throws to complete the comeback. It's good to know he can make plays when the defense gets caught lagging, spending all last night at Spearmint Rhino.

reported this post. wr blunders will often be confused as ugly throws. it's a mostly forgivable offense so I am hopeful that they let you off with a warning

I know because it actually happened to Jimmy in the Miami game. LOL

GOT EM!

Jimmy is a statue he would have died via ritual sodomy in today's game.

Thank god he is out.

Don't think he underthrew this at all. He threw to where Kittle was going. Unfortunately Kittle was going towards a defender.

He's PURDY good!

Just one really bad ill advised throw in all his games. The deep across the field against the grain throw to Kittle today was a very ill advised throw. However on balance in all the games totality he's unbelievably poised and makes decisions like a veteran. He also throws an accurate ball. He doesn't eve panic if he gets down. He doesn't panic vs the rush.

He throws touchdowns and wins games. I honestly can't believe how good he is. It's astonishing overall.

I believe this might be the most positive post I have ever read from you San Diego! I like it and I couldn't agree more!
Brock still checks down a little to often and to quickly at times. He had about 3 easy passes for huge plays but went with the CMC or Kittle check down. Still very solid and doesn't make to many big errors

I think he figured out the difference between college DB closing speed and NFL DB closing speed there.

He just shouldn't have thrown it

Id like to see them alter that route next time and have Kittle run more vertical and away from defenders

The Jennings throw was perfectly fine, quit perpetuating the lame narrative

just because the announcer say it on TV doesn't magically make everyone a genius.

He definitely could have lead him better but I also feel like Kittle could have fought for it a bit more.
Good win with his worst game to date. Missed 2 wide open TDs on the drive that tied the scores.
BCB was a 3 year starter in HS and 4 year starter in college... seen a lot of ball last 7 years, explains how he has been able to step in as a rookie and play at a high level

I think dirty Purdy is the fixed version of Jimmy G that Shanny has wanted

Agreed but in this offense with these weapons a checkdown could still go for 10+ yards. Rather have check down purdy than force it in the middle jimmy
