Unfortunately that's what the NCAA has unleashed. They failed to put any restrictions on how much these players can demand. I heard one person say that players shouldn't be allowed to make that money until they've played 2 years. This current situation is out of control.

To be fair, I think college football has outgrown or obsoleted a lot of the NCAA rules. Name Likeness and imaging are owned by the players (or should be) and should not be owned/regulated by the NCAA. That's (To me) saying CatchMaster80 can't own his house because he put NFL logos on it. (or something like that - if I understand the rules regarding how these college players make millions on their names and images while still in college).

Lamar Jackson is getting more praise today for throwing a pass to himself in a loss than Purdy is for a 135 second-half passer rating in a win.

If you can't see that the media clearly has an agenda against Purdy, you'll never see it.

Purdy is on the doorstep of making history. Lamar just s**t his pants in the playoffs yet again. Just win the SB and nothing else will matter.

I thought this was funny.

I'm sure Purdy is cleaning house on endorsement deals.

For the 2023-24 NFL playoffs, players are paid either $41,500 (wild-card teams) or $46,500 (division winners) for wild-card games, $46,500 for the divisional round, and $69,000 for conference championships.

Players on first-round bye teams receive $41,500 for the wild-card round despite not playing in a game.

he's already made $157k in the playoffs and will get another check of at least $82k or $157k (depending on if he losers or wins).
Well that should help Brock pay for his rent arrears - on his rental in the bay area.

Anyone know what his wristband means? I assume something religious

Holy Spirit to Keep Calm

I'm thinking "His Servant to Kingdom Come"

That's a *Force* bracer, since he doesn't have permission from the Jedi Council to have a light saber yet.

I've seen enough. Brock is a QB that does not wilt under pressure. He steps up in pressure moments. Such an important trait for a franchise QB.

Agreed.

We witnessed one of the all-time great QB moments in franchise history. I'm elated and not surprised. This guy has shown he's had it in him from the moment he took over.

He was running around and willing this team to victory like Steve Young. That sack escape sideline throw to Juice...ARE YOU f**kING KIDDING ME?!

I'm just amazed by this kid. Yes the NYG wild card comeback was the most points they've overcome post-season; yes, they came back down 17 in NFCCG in ATL...but this in terms of importance and style was the greatest 49ers playoff comeback in franchise history. Surreal.

It's the greatest one because it's the one that just occurred, but it's realistically probably tied with the one against ATL since they were both 17 point comebacks in the NFCCG and that Atlanta team was the #1 seed that year.

I was at the Atlanta one and this felt so much more remarkable. The Niners got momentum in the second quarter and scored 14 to only go down 24-14 heading into the second half.

The Niners were dead to rites at halftime yesterday.

Yeah, we were down quick and early in the 2012 NFCC but this one - we were dead in the water at half with no sign of a pulse.

then within a few minutes of game clock - WE'RE BACK BABY!! God it's so much more fun to root for this team when you have a stud QB. This is the stuff Jimmy never could do for us. Especially in the playoffs.

QB makes the difference.
Lmao watch a video of first take and Sherm is fighting for the respect of the niners against Keyshawn and skip. Like we all predicted they talked about the what ifs on 4th down and downplayed us a bit.
