Remember all those times the last couple of years I told you the QB position could use an upgrade?
Sure but Lance wasn't the man. Purdy was

Hell no.
How about win the Super Bowl first and be the primary reason we win it.
Love how much better than Jimmy he is and how his play so easily illuminates how much Jimmy was holding the offense back.

Brock's done what Jimmy couldn't. He opened up the game vertically. Whereas Jimmy plays a methodical 'kill you by a thousand cuts' type game that requires short and intermediary routes with heavy dose of run support…..Brock has the ability to gut you with chunk yards. Did you see how he opened up the second half of that game ? He was throwing darts downfield without hesitation.
it's amazing to watch.
Right now he is Jimmy G with better mobility and accurate deep throws. His ceiling is not low at all. That was the concern some of us had initially.
Correct he's better so far. Let's go!
He's playing better than a majority of NFL QBs right now. Just as Jimmy was.

I just hope we don't jinx it, let's just hope Brock and the team just keep it going. Number six seems very reachable right now.

He's in the record books with a Kurt Warner AND Dan Marino in his first 3 starts (should be 4 starts bc he played basically the whole Miami game).
Also, he did this against TWO TOP 5/10 DEFENSES in TB and WASH. Without DEEBO.
Amazing. Sick. Very impressed as every one of us should be. That spin move throw away was a great play too.

I'll say this much about Purdy... Kyle trusts him. He's an extremely conservative coach and he's letting his 7th round rookie quarterback throw on 3rd and longs.
Purdy fits this offense perfectly. He comes off targets quickly and gets the ball off with just as much speed. His instincts and polish are top notch, even amongst NFL veterans. Garoppolo, let alone Lance, will have a hard time usurping them when they get healthy.

Purdy made some incredible plays that most folks will never even realize happened.
- he ran out of bounds late in the game on a scramble. Most of us, including myself. Were confused why he didn't throw it away. It was cause it was a.screen and linemen were down field already.
- there was a play where he reacted quickly and went to pass but a defender was in his face. He just held onto it and took the sack instead of a likely turnover.
there were a few more I read about. Just ridiculous football IQ. He must just be a football junkie. Lol

Qbs don't need to win a super bowl to be considered great.
Winning a super bowl Is a team effort and with how this team Is playing right now, anything Is possible.
It's still early, but Purdy Is looking legit.

Another impressive game.
What I like is that he elevated his game after his interception.
And yes the interception is Jauan Jennings´s fault but still Purdy is a rookie QB. You never know how they will react specially after a hard first half against a really good defense.
That pass on 4th and three for Kittle was great.
And he´s so calm in the pocket.
Hopefully, the receivers will work on their scramble drills because Purdy is an excellent scrambler and the Niners should do better on those situations.
Forget Brock Purdy is the last pick of the draft, what he´s doing as a rookie QB is incredible.
He would have been the first pick overall, it would be the same thing.

Honestly I thought the throw away where he spun back towards the field was one of the best incompletions I've seen. Showed his athleticism and IQ.
