QB Brock Purdy Thread

Purdy is going to lose MVP to a guy he has 8 more passing TDs than, 600 more passing yards than, 2% higher completion percentage and 7 point higher QBR. 49ers offense also scores more points & played the worst rest-advantage schedule in the history of the NFL.

He is still a second year player so I will give him a pass. It was Christmas day for a man that is clearly Christian and things may have been a bit too much against a team that clearly wanted to prove themselves vs us that game. Baltimore used that game as a measuring stick game whereas we just approached it like yet another big game in primetime. BAL thought that game was the Super Bowl. Brock will learn from this

that was the most bizarre and out of character performance I have seen in years.

Everything from the coaching to BPs fluky INTs.

The saying in Naval Aviation is Complacency Kills. Too much success breeds too little fear of losing. Brock lost adequate fear of failure. It's back.

Also, one "Awe $hit" wipes out one thousand "Atta Boys".

This will be the first time since 1954 that the 49ers have a running back who wins the rushing title, wild.

CMC is the perfect back for a young QB like Brock to have. Brock will get better and having a guy like him makes it so he can focus on executing the offense and not doing too much.

CMC helped Jimmy G to a nice stretch. It's next level with CMC. He was born for this offense. Hell, Brock too. Ha.

I agree, but damn, shouldn't it be judged on body of work.

other side of the coin here is that clearly Lamar is a transcendent talent & dude just looks unstoppable as a one man show.

It's like Cmc was made in a lab for kyle and his system. In a way, he's been groomed for it his whole life. Lol CMC's dad played for papa shanahan and the families are close.

what Brock is best at, is exactly what kyles systems need to operate at an incredible level. Accuracy, confidence, anticipation, quick processing - all things Brock does best. Brock will just get better as the years go on. This off season, he will review all his film and study defenses. Perfect the offense even more, diagnosing defenses, actually get to work on his mechanics. We are in for such a treat.

Only one that's on him is the first one to deebo, he was late. I credit that to the ravens D. They did a great job disguising and making him hesitate, he wasn't his normal anticipatory self. He will be better for it.
