Because the likes of Nick WRONG want to be right. But they are WRONG. He's a very good young player who had 1 bad game. Some fluky stuff too.

I think some of the retired athletes feel uncomfortable by the fact that a 7th rounder can immediately compete for an MVP. especially highly drafted guys. Maybe one other reason why Sherm, aside from his 49ers time, supports Brock, maybe he understands as a later round pick. Never understood Shannon Sharpe though, another seventh rounder from a small school, who doesn't really support Purdy. You'd think there would be solidarity there. anyways..... STILL MY MVP

I think they want to see more than just one complete season in games to crown him prince football. Neither side is wrong. Fans need to grab a grip on reality and not take it personal.

could be, they also work for ratings so who knows? I wouldn't worry too much about what fans are thinking

It's a lot more than Nick Wrong. The ex athletes that are bashing him is the real head scratcher the talking heads with no sports backgrounds I can sorta just shrug off but the others well....

It's the perfect time to spend several days discussing Brock Purdy. Why focus on this Nick guy after a game like this?

Ya it's really weird how some people become so obsessed over these talking heads and what they have to say. I've stayed from most of that garbage after about college.

You switched to getting worked up over what ppl say on the WZ
I like Purdy and think he is a top 10 QB easily but I hate how when we plays great the talk is how great he is but when he plays bad it's all Kyle's fault and his play-calling. If you are going to put all the blame on Kyle for Purdy's failures you have to give him all the credit for Purdy's success. Can't have it both ways. Brock had a really bad game because the defense he was playing against was simply better that night. Other team's have great players also. The toughest part of being a fan of a sports team is being able to handle the swings, the lows when they happen. Fortunetely for us we haven't dealt with nearly as many lows as most other team's fanbases this season. And because of that we become spoiled.

They gameplan was completely awful and on Shanahan though. You could see blatantly they were jumping all our screens. Yet he KEPT doing it! Typical Shanahan. He also abandoned the run which was working and was actually the most effective.

One thing Sherman brought up is that on the first INT, he believed that Kittle stopped prematurely and that he was supposed to pull Hamilton further away from the center of the endzone, leaving a larger opening for the throw to go through.

But Purdy was throwing to Deebo.

He's talking about the corner route that Kittle was running. Designed to pull the backside safety away from the post.

I agree. I don't blame either one of them, yeah some of the throws that were Int's by Brock had me scratching my head but neither one is to blame. It was a bad game for both and the team. But Brock is going to throw the football no matter what, he has a little gunslinger in him and those types of QB's believe in themselves, he was never shy about throwing the ball last night after the 2nd and even the third. When I rewatched the game there were some check downs available but he went with the second level throw.
