QB Brock Purdy Thread

His numbers are nothing near MVP numbers or Purdy. But the anti Purdy agenda is big. Should Purdy win IMO they are running out of excuses. Hurts, Dak and Lamar are all gone. I don't think CMC or a RB wins. I don't think Tyreek or a WR wins. It's Purdy should he win and more so if we win by some decent margin.

Purdy's a lock if we win next week, he plays well, and we get the 1 seed. You have to bet 200 to win 100 on him. Betting 100 on Lamar right now will pay you 4-600 dollars if he wins depending on where you bet.

Maybe some room for CMC to sneak in a victory if he just crushes the stat sheet over the final games, but probably not. He's 10-1 or higher.

Outside of that point, Lamar has been good this year. He's a better passer than you think he is, and is a dynamic runner. Numbers have a lot to do with team too. That offense isn't loaded.

Regardless of what the stats say, it can be argued that this has been Lamar's best year, in regards to executing the qb position at a high level. This is a drastically different situation than when he won the MVP before.

Looks like Brock is just throwing dimes and Lamar just hitting wide ass open receivers? Lol

Lamar's dot was surprising.

Also thought Allen's would be surprising to some.

Lol huh? Per this chart, they're both tied in hitting wide ass open receivers for the season. Take a 2nd look and understand the axes.
In listening to the analysts and "experts", the talk is the strength of the Ravens defense that Brock will have to deal with. The attention is not on Brock but, the defense of the Ravens. Brock won't running the ball. He will be handing the ball off to CMC, or Deebo, or Juscyk, or Mason, or throwing to Kittle or Aiyuk or... you get my drift. Then, how are the Niners going to contain Lamar? Well, I hope they don't run Lamar too much. I am quite sure some of the Niners are itching to lay the wood to him. And, let's really see how much he has progressed as a QB in the NFL. 17TD's and 7 picks; sacked 34 times. Uh oh

Allen's receivers are showing to be open, but not by much, right?

so much for Lamar is throwing to no one. Who ever he is throwing to is wide ass open.

Lol what? You mean that since the bye - Brock has been hitting the open receiver about as much as his season average but they're open by less than nearly 1/3 of what they have been when you average out the entire season?

Meaning that Brock is hitting the open guy but they're covered better since the bye week. Lamars WR are open by a lot more since the bye week to now then they have been across the season average.

meaning Lamar's WRs are significantly more open (much more separation from the DB/S) than the guys Brock has been throwing to.

right?

He's hitting open receivers at a greater rate than any other QB over the full season, and only less than the Senator since week 8.

Probably some good decision making happening there
