He ain't no 3rd stringer anymore.

He was, and his preparation when he was is unmatched.

I was watching an interview of a basketball player from Iowa state (he's in the NBA doing great now - I forget his name, plays for the pacers I believe).
he was saying how Purdy was like Batman on campus. Hahah because you'd never see the guy until game day and he would go ball. Apparently Purdy is always studying and prepping - he's a junkie and I love that!

This spider chart is hilarious: https://www.mockdraftable.com/player/brock-purdy

Lombardi said "You'd like to see more gray", lol.

It goes to show how much of this game is mental. It looks like he has the shortest wingspan and arm length in the draft.

This is probably why he wasn't taken until the last pick.

Great luck for us, and for Purdy as he was put in an offense he can succeed in.

edit: don't get me wrong, I loved the guy from the first few snaps I saw him take in the preseason. just showing how easy it is to overlook talent based strictly on tangibles.

Also, that 10 yard split is .01 seconds slower than Saquon Barkley.

See that NFL? This is what non-NFL fans want to see. How about some phantom PI calls? And let McG hold a little (or a lot).

I don't think that is true, but Brock Purdy's 10 yard split is equivalent to Deshaun Watson, Justin Fields, Jalen Hurts, and young Russell Wilson.

I wonder where the discrepancy comes from, timing wise.

Purdy 10 yard split: 1.61 sec (1.55 at mockdraftable)

Saquon Barkley: 1.54

Deshaun Watson: 1.6

Justin Fields: 1.59

Jalen Hurts: 1.6

DangerRuss: 1.55

these are all from the combine results

The spider chart is from mockdraftable, but the 10 yard split isn't even available for other players, so I don't know why it's there for purdy.
