Your right. Purdy sucks because I watched some clips of him turning the ball over in College. I will forget about what he has done in the past 3 games and demand Josh Johnson to be the starter from here on out. Thank you for opening up my eyes.

I think Brian Griese, if he hasn't already, can coach the wtf turnover out of him.

Totally. Lance will cost $9,301,434 next year with Purdy costing, $889,253. That is one cheap QB room. And draft another Mr. Relevant.

Gonna get your Center with the savings

Any one of the 3 1st round picks would have grabbed a nice center too fml

And hindsight is always 20/20. LOL

For real. Give it up. The dumbs**t comments about the 2 first round picks we gave up is rather annoying. Get lost if you can't get over that.

We used 3 1st and a 3rd bro, and it's hard to get over such a terrible move.

It is what it is. The NFL draft is just a big gamble. To act like those draft picks crippled our organization is short sighted and comes from fans just looking for a reason to b***h when there really is anything to b***h about today.

This always bothers me.

Draft picks have no other purpose then to gamble with them. The more talent a team has on it, the less valuable the picks are.

People also forget that Picks cost money too in yearly salary. So you pay to gamble.

You put it in a much better context than I have , but I'm not sure what's not understood about this.

Alot of whining goes on here about why we're not taking the safe route while these 2 guys have gambled their way to us having the most talented team in the league.

Let's not get carried away. Picks are always valuable no matter what kind of team you have. Depth is key to having a great team

but I agree about being upset about the past, if things were different we may not have found Purdy or have the season we are having as of now.

Man, all 3 guys in open competion to start? Kyle nearly blew a gasket with Trey/Jimmy with all the media questions. I don't see it.

On the flip side, if it somehow worked out like that, Kyle might not give af too much because he simply wants the best QB room he can get. And that mentality saved this season.

I don't see there being a competition at all next season. Lance will named starter by default, with Purdy backing him up.

What a crazy year!

It'll be interesting to review the roster in a couple months of where we even need to bring in real competition.

If Purdy ends the season playing well and showing efficiency moving the offense then an open competition is the way to go imo. If Lance is out there making bonehead reads, the vets on the team will be wondering why they have to watch this while a better QB is sitting on the bench. Trent Williams ain't got time for that.

Really? The FO threw $120M at a QB playing ad lib ball for 5 games in 2017. Anything is possible.

One could certainly justify it given the cost for Trey.

Either way, hopefully Brock makes it a very difficult decision. The competition would only elevate both. Use the Walsh psychology here.

Totally agree. Trey Lance is QB1.

Loving the ride though but it so early with Brock. We will have two good cheap QBs for a bit.

And if JG is gone, who's Mr. Irrelevant next year? Because you know we need 3. If it was me, I'd make sure Slowik and Griese get that pick.

If Purdy plays well through the playoffs, it should be an open competition between those 2 when spring rolls around. Nothing in this league is given. Everything is earned.

Yeah. I think we have too much Invested In Lance for there to be an open competion.

Keep In mind, JG was the only decent QB we had on the roster back in 2017 and actually looked good too, so It made sense to give him a big extension.

Completely different scenario with Lance and Purdy.
Too much Invested on Lance for them not to hand him the starting gig imo.

We'll see, though.

I agree with this.

Let's hope Kyle allows for an open competion.
