This team is WAY too talented to play like it did the previous three games, specifically on defense. That was a complete joke. Brock was unusually bad against Cleveland (specifically accuracy - he was off on a ton of throws he routinely hits) but he still got us in position to win it at the end.

more so than anything, I was most disappointed in the defense. I think in those 3 previous games, our defense stopped the opposing offense from scoring in like 4 drives. You're not winning jacks**t that way.

You're not winning if you turn the ball over repeatedly in the 4th quarter. Regardless of how the defense played, both of those games were winnable in the 4th quarter before we turned the ball over multiple times.

Yeah it was ugly. A lot went wrong, including Brocks turnovers. No doubt. I'm not making excuses for him, I just think the entire team played like a bottom feeder and were lucky to be in those games.
After the Ambry Thomas TD taken away. It was 3rd and 9 about to be 3&out, Brock dropped a dime to Aiyuk on the right sideline with 2 defenders on him. No margin for errors. Most underrated throw by Brock of the game.

That throw was clutch as hell and at the time felt like a really pivotal moment in the game. We hadn't done much with the turnovers and it looked like we were about to 3 and out and give them the ball right back. Great throw and catch.
Brock's rankings through week 10.

QBR- 1st
PR- 1st
YPA- 1st
TD%- 4th
INT%- 13th
BTT%- 6th

I think the schedule we had and player fatigued played a massive role in the declining performance. I think Brock went through some growing pains as well and he'll have more of those too

That throw to the sideline on 3rd and 8 to Jennings was great as well.

That was a purdy throw from Brock for sure
Purdy plays excellent for 13 games with a historic passer rating. Media says "nope not enough." Purdy has two bad quarters after that "okay he's been exposed he's done! Time for SF to find a new QB!"

CJ Stroud plays really well for 9 games (though not as good as Purdy's 13-game run). Media says "THAT'S IT! WE'VE SEEN ENOUGH! NEXT GOAT QB!!!"

Don't get me wrong. I'm happy for Stroud, Ryans and Texans fans. But the clear double standard is pretty infuriating. Where's all the "there's still time for teams to get THE TAPE and EXPOSE him!!!" talk that we heard for Purdy?

Or his pass to Deebo that called back do to holding by Trent Williams

One is a highly touted prospect and the other guy was mr irrelevant. It's going to take a lot more for mr irrelevant to prove his doubters wrong. Not to mention Purdy is on a loaded roster while Stroud isn't. Now I've heard can Brock lead us when we are down or that he's a game manager and not elite. Which is all far imo. But who the media is saying Purdy is done and the niners need a new qb? You shouldn't take them seriously.

The difference is because of draft position mostly. But Stroud is good on an under powered team. So nothing against him. But I still think he will have a few struggles too. It won't be perfect for him either.

How many of the Texans offensive skill players would start on this team? The circumstances are very different.
