Brock Purdy over the last 3 games.

69% completion
7.3 YPA
36.9 1st down%
7.1 TD%
1.2 INT%

On 3rd down he is completing 76.7% of his passes with 2 TD's and 0 INT's.

Nice completion percentage.

what's his air yards lookin like?
Low. Under 6 yards per.

AND I DON'T CARE. Kid's a baller.

Just looked it up. He is currently tied for 13th in the league. His air yards per attempt is higher than Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, Derek Carr, Aaron Rodgers, Jimmy Garoppolo and Justin Herbert.

Like I asked the other poster. If going by pfr stats. How can a QB have more air yards per attempt than yards per attempt?
Because that fantasy site's stats actually use completed passes in their stats, while PFR considers ATTEMPTS, not just completions, in the number. Further, PFR's stats do not include YPA, but rather only YPC. Hover over the categories and you will see.

That stat is useless than. Who cares about how many yards an incomplete pass went. The damn pass was incomplete and is no better or worse than a 2 yard incomplete pass. 😂

Longer incomplete passes look cooler.

Win 23 games. way more
Post a 2-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio. check
Complete at least 60% of passes thrown. check

To be fair those rules don't really exist anymore in college football. 99% of the time if you're a high end college QB, you're not staying there for 4 yrs.

Which I think is the issue today. Yes sometimes it pays off, but we have seen soo many times when those QB's just were not ready for the big time. Maybe finishing out college would of benefitted them in the long run.

I am pretty sure he was. But when a rookie 7th round QB is playing at the same or slightly higher level than an 8 year vet makes it more impressive.

I would say. Seattle was averaging 16.0% when it came to blitzing before entering this game. They did the complete opposite and still got beat. 😅

Which is interesting considering Purdy's injury and the struggles we've had picking up blitzes at time. I guess they saw how Purdy did against the blitz in the last two games and decided to try and force him to sit back there and read the field. It burned them on that second Kittle TD.

That was my Kyle-and-System plug. It's super impressive how much Kyle gets so much efficiency out of his system whether it's a former 2nd RP, UDFA and now, Mr. Relevant.

I do think Purdy was drafted too late for what he's worth, but this is not a good checklist. Josh Allen only checked one of these boxes coming out of Wyoming—barely.

that is totally Bill Parcells though

Build a blue collar team, strong defense, power back on offense stuff. Don't dig holes, and don't turn the ball over. Make sure you can throw for a first down when you need to.

That is as safe a way as any to not bust on a QB with valuable draft capital. Yes you don't roll the dice nearly as many uber talented QBs, but you don't eat franchise busts at the top of the draft.

You might miss on Josh Allen, but you save yourself from Alex Smith and Trey lance (2 years not really ready yet). Getting a talented player is the easy part, making that player with very limited time in school functional is the hard part. Both Alex and Trey have talent, and in Alex's case ended up very functional, just like I think one day Trey will be. I think Bill Parcells figured there are only so many real offensive genius types in the NFL, he was not one of them so he played it safe.

Lucky for us, the 49ers actually have a genius type.

If BCB leads the team into a deep playoff run, we could trade Lance to recoup some picks and bring back Jimmy on a reasonable contract as back up.
