QB Brock Purdy Thread

It's crazy how quickly he turned into Nick Mullens.

Let it go, man. That's just how it shook out. Gotta seize your opportunities in this league, and Lance didn't. Not all of it was in his control, but he won't be the first or last player that has had that happen to him. It's a tough business.

No he didn't. Shanahan just wanted to get rid of him since Purdy was the starter.

I'd be more willing to believe that if Darnold didn't also outplay Lance in the preseason games. Most beat writers agreed that Darnold outplayed Lance from what they saw.

Look, I like Lance. Quite a bit, actually. I hope he does well (though I'd prefer it on another team than Dallas). Gotta let it go, man. Gotta let it go.
Purdy is hot/straight/absolute garbage when is playing from behind and he was that way in Iowa State according to their fans.

He was playing very well because the team was winning all the time.

Purdy is the anti-clutch QB. He is fools gold.

Oh and I don't want to hear about the Bowns game because that final drive was all about Aiyuk getting YAC.

I'm not. It's the M.O. of a certain part of this fanbase. They just cannot handle less than perfection.

Depends on the beatwriter. Grant Cohen was writing throughout the training camp that Purdy kept throwing interceptions all over the place including a number of pick 6's... Lance was the best QB in camp according to Cohn. I usually cant stand Cohn, but he was right all along in regards to the QB competition

Purdy seems to look amazing for 56 minutes and then just tries to do too much. He really needs to slow down and just take what the defense gives him. Another week where he thinks he's Brett Favre at the wrong moments.

This is who he was in college. He's still that guy.

As others have pointed out, this is pretty much how he was at Iowa St and a huge reason he was nearly not drafted. That's not me hating but this was one of his weaknesses.
The red zone turnovers are killers, but I'm still not worried about him. At least I'm more worried about the defense and the offensive line.
Hoping things change when Deebo and Trent are back.

This really speaks to who Brock is. A product of good talent around him.

Because if his team is losing, the opposing teams KNOW he has to throw. There is no threat of play action or run plays at that point. With his noodle arm, the defense just have to cover a small field.
