Yes. Just like I watch every game every week. Watch multiple film breakdowns throughout the week as well. Do you watch the games? The offense has turned the ball over multiple times and has failed to score on more than 3 possessions in each of the last 2 games. I also saw a defense that gave up a whole lot of yards but not many points all things considering. You act like Kirk threw 4 TD's against our defense, gave up 35 points and we got blown out.
What you don't get is that the 49ers barely had the ball because the defense couldn't get off the field. There were barely any possessions in this game.
The 49ers have punted just 22 times so far this year (would be among the lowest punt totals in NFL history), and have barely turned it over. Yet they aren't scoring many points because the defense is garbage.
Wrong. Both the 49ers and vikings had 9 possessions each. Both 49ers and CLE each had 13 possessions in their game.
The 49ers offense has turned the ball over 4 times in the last 2 games and have averaged 17 points per game in that span. Teams are only 4-14 when their offense only puts up 17 points in a game this season.
pretty sure he's referring to total time. equal amount of total possessions, yes
So if they both had the same amount of possessions but the TOP is lopsided, it means that one offense was able to move the ball more affectively than the other.
exactly. the Vikings offense was able to move the ball more effectively and our defense couldn't get off the field. this has been a recurring problem defensively.
I could also easily say that our offense wasn't able to move the ball as affectively and failed to score on 6 of its 9 possessions. This has been a recurring problem offensively.
except they were able to move the ball effectively. especially compared to the last game. Purdy had a 70% completion %. just can't have 3 turnovers.
Are the TO's not included in you evaluation of the offense? Yes. Lets dismiss 3 TO's including 1 in the redzone after the defense gift wrapped the offense excellent starting field position after a TO of their own.
