Do we really have to keep doing this? The number of "Trey defenders" could be counted on one hand.

Rinse and repeat in here…

The amount of gaslighting about Trey over Brock >>>>>>>>>>> actual Trey over Brock posters.

We're in week 8 of the NFL season, and people are still trying to make this a thing. Just stop it.

Not surprised you three were offended by that comment lol

That comment is true though. Not just here but all over SM too.

I've never said I wanted Trey to start over Jimmy or Brock. Not once. Nice try though. Maybe leave your hurt feelings on twitter.

never said you did.

That comment really struck a nerve. gee I wonder why lmao

I fixed my post on the previous page. But yes, it strikes a nerve because people like you lie about others opinions. Yeah, sorry I hate lying and hypocrisy. You really got me there.
It's true. It's okay though truth can be offensive sometimes.

Show me where a Trey defender is being overly critical of Brock and I'll let this go. If you can find that example, I'll concede.

If you can't, then you see my point.
Comes across as overly critical after one game.(below)

"Purdy is not it"

"we don't have a QB"

"Ok

So I want one of them dual threat playmaking put a team on his back and win type of QB again

We tried this before where we tried to out scheme and outsmart guys and we got beat by Mahomes and Hurts

I want one of those guys that can win the big games in todays NFL

I don't want to give up three first then not get my guy"

"Kirk cousins come on down"

"Would feel so much better if you were on the bench right now as QB2 - just in case.

There's no hope now if BP goes full on Jimmy oh no.

I sure hope he doesn't or else we are f**ked."

That does not prove what the OP claimed. If he had just said, "people are being overly critical of Brock for this game", I wouldn't have commented because I would 100% agree.

I've seen you gaslight this Trey vs Brock stuff so often, it's infuriating because you don't actually care to be accurate, you're still just fighting an invisible battle.

For example, you keep insinuating that I'm biased in favor of Trey. And yet I've been nothing but complimentary of Brock since he's been here. Over and over and over you insinuate I'm team Trey, yet I'm not. I'm team "find a franchise QB", and Brock is and has been our best option. So GTFOH with this "the truth hurts" BS. You're simply lying about what people truly feel about the QB situation. THATS THE TRUTH.

You can be a believer in Brock but also believed in Trey. Those things are not mutually exclusive. No matter how much you want to pretend it is.

Stopped reading at the first sentence, because I provided what you asked for. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume you don't concede like you said you would.

Moving on.

LOL

I told them I am getting a male dog and leaving his balls intact!

I was literally unpacking stuff and organizing while watching the game last night. It's insane. I have about three months house work ahead of me still. It is funny how life's experiences teach you. I love the 49ers, but I will never lose sleep over them losing like when I was younger because its just a game and the majority of players are all happy regardless, but that's a topic for a different thread.

Hahaha that's fair!

yeah two girls and done. Yeah just had the whole house painted and have a ton of projected setup. It's gonna take some time to make it our own, but it was a good move for us.

yeah I'm actually less emotional about it overall. I did posts some stuff last night lol. For me, I enjoy the process of them building a team as much as I do watching the games.

Purdy has proven some special traits, even in this last game. His anticipation is the best I've ever seen for a QB his age. It's elite veteran level, but that's a double edge sword that comes with mistakes like the pass he made to JJ. He had two turnover worthy throws, the one to JJ, and a desperation pick, but overall he's been stellar with keeping the ball in places only his guys can make the play. Let's not go overboard on his turnover worthy plays. Also, his arm has been surprisingly strong this year. Even this game he made a couple beautiful throws on outs to the sideline. I think he's still gaining strength back from his torn ligament, so let's not go around with the old noodle arm take again. The evidence so far is that his arm is not a liability and may actually be stronger than people give him credit for. NY, don't slip back into these dumb arguments, I don't think they will age well.

He's gotta have higher end anticipation because of lacking elsewhere. The left side rollouts make me cringe at this point.

Look he's never gonna have a plus arm. It's been that way since college. It's not a positive for his overall resume. I didn't say it was a noodle. I said it isn't a tool he has in his tool belt. Too many floaters when they shouldn't be. You can make excuses about his recovery, it was the same thing before it.

You call it dumb arguments. I call it being objective. He's got some good traits. He's also lacking in other spots that other QBs aren't. It's okay, but trying to swipe it under the rug because of bias fan motives is silly.

I don't hate Brock or whatever some of you want to try so hard to imply. I'm calling a spade a spade with certain traits. I also think he can be a good damn QB in this system, he's shown that. Can he do it trailing in the 4th QR? I mean it's a small sample size, but it's not good so far. Again he's young and still learning, unlike a f**k ton of people in here…I'm not giving up on a young QB who hasn't played a ton of NFL games after a couple poor outcomes.

Everyone thinks they're objective. Get in line. Your arguments earlier in this thread were trash on occasion. We don't need to rehash it. I've said many times that when things don't go well for Purdy, this place will implode. Guess what? To me, there's no reason to back off Purdy being special. I've seen enough to know that he has traits that are elite and will not not improve in consistency as he plays more games. People tend to forget this is just a kid who's played less than a season worth of games. Pace yourselves.

All you showed was criticism. I swear you are doing this purposely now. You haven't shown anything close to what you claimed you did.

They're trash comments because why?

What like you were being some "objective fan" and the rest of us aren't HA yeah okay dude.

You see one part of a post that isn't 100% calling Brock amazing and you get all emotional about it…never mind the rest of the post saying good things about him.

There's no reason to debate or have convos with people that act like that

Basically a young Drew Brees. He can process well, throw anywhere on the field, is decently mobile, but had not played in any late game pressure situations in the NFL until last week.

Needing a field goal, he's 1/1 on delivering a chance

Needing a touchdown, he's 0/2 if you count both drives.

I think the sky is the limit once he fully figures out NFL defenses and gets used to these situations. Last week was bad throws. This week he had a couple inaccurate throws and one really bad decision. Brock just needs to relax and put the mistakes behind him.

A guy like Allen can throw bombs but man he's probably just as infuriating to Buffalo fans because he has thrown a lot of picks that have cost them multiple games this year. 3 on opening day against the Jets, and a pick in three consecutive games thru this week.

Why is a high school level QB who's yet to be activated on game day by the Cowboys still a topic on this forum?

Nice post. People need to pump the breaks with the emotional responses about Brock. Yeah, he had a chance to come through at the end of the game for us and didnt. I thought he played an A- game for 3+ quarters. Obviously everyone is going to focus on the last 2 possessions, but in no way did Brock lose the game for us IMO.
If Brock Lead the Niners to A TD at the end of the game. We are talking about how Purdy Single handed won this game. And how amazing he is. But instead he threw a bad pass that got Intercepted and now it is somehow all on him we lost and he is no good. Purdy has half the INTs of Mahomes but Purdy throws a couple of picks and he sucks all of a sudden. I get this was a bad time for it as it came after his poor performance against the Browns. But Purdy played extremely well for the vast majority of this game. Not to excuse the bad throw in the big moment but the rest of the team primarily the defense was the reason we were down at that point in the game not Purdy.
