im very excited to see how he finishes the season and handles it all. He can obviously play/lead football - now we need to see how he adjusts to football as it adjusts to him.

What makes you think kyle will put him in a bad situation? Kyle has done everything you want a HC to do for a 7th rd rookie coming in mid season. At some point you need to let it go with the shanny slander, he's been damn good at his job overall.

Shanahan has been among the best play-callers in the league the last 10 years. Like Aiyuk's touchdown. None of Shanahan's critics recognized that his route was eerily similar to his corner-stop earlier in the game. Kyle sets defenses up. His main flaw is sometimes expecting too much out of his players, though, so in truth Jose isn't terribly far off. But I think even Shanahan has gotten better at being careful with who he has playing.

This place is wild, you got half the WZ posters getting all bent out of shape with running the ball, not passing to setup the run. You got half the WZ posters all upset that they've not running the ball enough…imo neither understand defensive coverages and proper play calls in-game.

We all know Seattle sucks vs the run. I would say Seattle knows they stink there. Save to assume they're gonna load up the box all day. Will that matter? Who knows, but that's an advantage in the passing game.

you gotta correlate play calls with what they're showing on defense. While I expect them to pound the ball on the ground, it would be wrong to not take advantage of them selling out the run.

IMO Jose is also trying to find any sort of scenario to crap on Kyle. He does it every week.

Purdy looked FANTASTIC against the Buccaneers, who are a top 10 defense. He definitely inspired a lot of hope that this season isn't lost.

It's more that people are crowning and anointing him as a franchise QB that's going to lead us to a Super Bowl after one game. Which is fine, because that's the fun part of being a fan, but "just sayin'."

Purdy has four regular season games and at least one playoff game to show what he's got. That's going to be exciting to tune in and see for the next month.

Exactly this. I wasn't criticizing Shanahan. I was just saying what I think Shanahan shouldn't be doing.

I have seen a light turn on in shanny with purdy that I haven't seen with Jimmy or Lance or any other qb.
