He's going to do it tonight. I have FULL faith in Brock until proven otherwise

"These metrics and passing score (a metric that takes into account controllable factors and performance relative to league-average expectation; see an explainer here if you'd like) are the basis of my rankings. We were able to use passing score for the first time a year ago, and now that we have two seasons' worth of data at our disposal, we can gain an even better understanding of how well the league's top quarterbacks performed when throwing passes of 20-plus air yards.

Using these numbers (and minimum requirements of 15 deep attempts and a passer rating of 90 or better), let's sort out the best deep passers of 2022, presented below in reverse order:"

The issue here is that, while those throws are necessary to complete a few times a game, they are rare. You can complete bombs, but you're likely going to lose if you're not completing slants, deep ins, deep outs and curls. The intermediate and "long" short passes are so much more important.

Yea we're getting a little carried away probably with how many are completed instead of the true purpose of the usage of deep passes over the top,...which is making teams respect a team's capability of them enough to not cheat while playing all of those slants, deep ins, outs, and curls.

lol....this video is just a stark reminder how fast Jerry could get open, and his ability to just leave defenders in his wake.

Lol imagine ANY QB in the NFL throwing 30-40 yards down field on a quick 3 step drop.

Most QBs are lucky to have clean separation to throw at on a slant at 3....lol Jerry has already took the top off the defense by that point....
If he's hitting 92% of his passes in the 10-19 range, then maybe he should just forget about attempting 20+ yard passes and just stick with the intermediate passes. A defense isn't realistically going to be able to take away the entire field under 20 yards.

I don't know exactly where he is in his recovery, but if there's ANY chance he could strain the arm trying to throw deep, I'd prefer he not even try. They can win every regular season game the way he has been throwing, so maybe save the deep stuff for the playoffs?

Wouldn't defenses learn eventually? They could just crowd that area and play zone coverage or double Aiyuk.

Defenses dictate what the O is doing, if they are flooding that area, we go elsewhere, it's about having answers each snap, for what the D is doing

Jfc fantasy football has all but ruined statistical analysis. What a terrible metric lol.
