The old fart generation are obsessed with 3 yard check downs.

also in what world is that a beautiful throw lol? Man people are trying way to hard. He was late and underthrew it. My god if Lance threw that the narrative would have been completely different…plenty of good throws from Brock on Sunday, people trying to hard with this one.

You really think that was underthrown? I guess he should have thrown it out of the endzone??

Purdy will never be "elite" without these highlights.

I guess Jeff George was elite.

wth does he have to do with it? we want purdy to win a superbowl right? he'll have to throw like this to do so

But Montana "didn't have much of an arm" or something lol

If BP wins the SB, he will be elite to me, deep balls, short balls, schewty balls, blue...wait..lol

I love Montana, but man what protection!!

Mckitrick was truly the best. Wish Shanahan emphasized pass protection.

Did Lance ever throw deep balls?

One play Trey? Yup once a game in preseason. Made his thumpers forget about the other throws.

Deep crossers are deep balls too, and he hit a ton of them in his games against the Texans and Bears. But just because the guy completed some deep ball's doesn't bean he knew how to play QB. He clearly still does not.

Has anyone talked about the one play where Brock got DESTROYED???

Even shook his head like "that was a good one"..

I knew he could take a hit because of his stature.... but still, impressive.

Edit- and yes I know about the college one.

Edit #2- found it.

That throw was not his best moment.

His best moment was when he got creamed by I think Donald off the edge but still completed to Aiyuk on a midrange pass for a first down.
I've never seen talk about deep balls in any 49ers QB before. Why Purdy now?
Brock can get ballz deep enough to get the job done

People always have to find something to complain about.

because it's "Superbowl or bust", and in order to win it all a QB has to deliver these throws, it happens in almost all superbowls.
montana had to throw deep to win a ring, steve young had to throw deep to win a ring, guess what Purdy will have to do?

Brutal horse collar tackle
Who cares about him missing deep? The problem with those misses was that 3/4 of them came on third down and ended the drives. It doesn't matter if he missed deep or short.
