The larger point is that Mullens looked great at first, but in time, he showed the flaws that dictated why he is a QB2, QB3 in this league.
Purdy looked FANTASTIC against the Buccaneers, who are a top 10 defense. He definitely inspired a lot of hope that this season isn't lost.
It's more that people are crowning and anointing him as a franchise QB that's going to lead us to a Super Bowl after one game. Which is fine, because that's the fun part of being a fan, but "just sayin'."
Purdy has four regular season games and at least one playoff game to show what he's got. That's going to be exciting to tune in and see for the next month.
