Y'all stress me out too much.

At the same time, kneejerk reactions can be entertaining in their own way. Don't cheat yourself!

Actually, I think the main reason was because I would stream the games, and the forum would be ahead of me.... can't have spoilers.

I got Sunday Ticket this year so I'll probably be in there.

I like to read other team's gamethreads after painful losses, lol. Definitely not productive, but I have time to burn and I'm sadistic.

I mean, was that after the practice where he had 5 or so ints against the Raiders? That was a disaster.

I think it's a pretty weak excuse to say every int in practice is the result of Brock practicing things he wouldn't try in a real game. Why's he practicing throwing screens to the defensive linemen?

Most importantly, you personally are not actually seeing the plays yourself. You're taking 2nd hand descriptions from various people, many of whom have demonstrated they probably shouldn't be commenting on football x's and o's.

It's practice. Don't know what they're working on as a team. Don't know what Purdy, or the other QBs, are working on as individuals. Not seeing the actual plays.

Sure, and I'm sure if we could see the video of the interceptions there would be a lot more panic around here. A lot of them likely wouldn't look pretty or be good decisions. It's just easy to dismiss them when you can't see them as it is to make them into a big deal. I'm not saying that they matter a ton, because they are ultimately happening in just practice so far. Preseason games are also practice (a type of practice that Kyle has said he gives less weight to than the actual practices), but it doesn't stop people from freaking out about them.

The fact that Kyle thinks Brock is the "real deal" and unquestioned QB1, I'd say they aren't a big deal. If Brock was struggling to read the defense, inaccurate etc - I'm sure the position would be up to be challenged.

interceptions are never a good thing, but I think it depends on how they're happening. I think ultimately with Brock it isnt that he is struggling to read anything or where to go. It's properly poor placement (easily fixable), too aggressive (easily fixable), bad luck - like bouncing off of the players hand (fixable).

none of us know how they're happening but I imagine they're like that, which is why CMC and Kyle don't seem to think its a problem. Brock also threw quite a bit of Int last year and it didn't translate to the field. He had some luck with drops but as a whole it wasn't an issue. We will see how he looks here in a few weeks but i expect him to be pretty sharp like he was the other day. Turnovers will happen, just have to hope they're few and far between.

Speaking of that, I wonder how the format will be for Sunday ticket. I purchased it and it's already confusing me. I will reserve judgment for week 1 to flip sh** if I can't find something or it's not working. Very possible it sucks week 1 since it's on a new platform

Same here. Hahah it was cool when a good play was about to happen cause I'd accidentally see it on the forum - so I'd like "okay this play is going to be great". But as a whole, yeah I'd try to not read it live.

Fact that Brock Purdy's INT rate has been over 5% in both of his camps and 1.7% (very low) during actual games illustrates what 49ers are thinking: There's a significant difference between practice process and game process. Purdy also had a low turnover-worthy throw rate in 2022

Sampling of INT rates for 49ers QBs under Shanahan (I've tracked camp rates since 2021)... Garoppolo 2021 camp: 3.1% Garoppolo 2021 season: 2.7% Garoppolo 2022 season: 1.3% Lance 2022 camp: 3.4% Purdy 2022 camp: 5.9% Purdy 2022 season: 1.7% Purdy 2023 camp: 5.1%

Isn't that what practice is for?

After losses?! Nah... that's like watching sad movies without your GF forcing you to watch. Can't do it.

LMAO that is hilarious and also terrifying at the same time. I've done that with the Seahawks a few times.

it makes me realize that every fan base is delusional and emotional in their own way. I think a majority of fans live play by play and week by week, like we see in here on game day. Lol it's ridiculous but can be entertaining

Seahawks SB against the Pats and Falcons - Pats SB were enjoyable, lol. Just pure emotion.

Not a gamethread but one of my all time favorites was when the 07 Pats lost to the Giants. A bunch of crybaby Pats fans started an online petition to replay the last 1:41 of the game because they felt the clock wasn't operated properly. You could sign and leave a comment. That thing was hilarious once trolls caught wind… just delicious.

Lol that's hilarious. Fans are outta control. I was pretty down when Purdy got hurt in the NFCC. I didn't do anything like that though. Just pouted and didn't look at anything football for a couple months

here is a video where Brock talks about in a recent press conference how he tries out things in practice that he wouldn't in a game, tries to hit certain tight windows and see if he can pull it off. Then the next day he comes into practice knowing if he can or not.

Brock getting interceptions in practice makes Brock the real deal! Lol!

We Have to start fast on offense this year because our first three games are pretty tough. First two weeks are away games (lots of traveling - although ones in LA, not bad) but it's followed up by a short week, Thursday night game.

- travel across the country to play the Steelers
- Travel to LA to play a division rival
- First home game on a short week against a playoff team

need to start fast if we don't want another crappy record the first 6-7 games

we also play in thanksgiving (in seattle), Christmas (Ravens), & New Year's Eve (Washington). pretty brutal schedule this year.

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but Derek Carr threw ZERO interceptions in training camp last year.

Ended up throwing 14 ints in 15 games.
