Oh hell yeah. He's a stud man. A lot of 49ers qb records going to be set this year 😎. Hopefully hahahah

look at that practice today, ridiculously accurate and apparently the only INT came from a great freaky play by the D, those are the kind of turnovers people should be able to live with - sometimes people make great defensive plays, it just what it is. It's the bonehead ones like what Jimmy would do that are hard to swallow.

Like Trey's screen pass vs Denver? LOL

Because I don't remember fans just living with that one.

I understand there's a difference between games and practice, and I love what I've seen with Brock and hope he's our future, but I have some concern that he will revert to some of oddly timed turnovers he had in college.

If he doesn't come back down to earth a little bit, he'll be compared to Brady a lot next season.

And I'm here for it.

Most fans on here are super emotional and live play by play, like a roller coaster. I'd have to rewatch it but I remember thinking two things 1) I was surprised he threw it cause I felt like they'd clearly blown up the screen 2) I thought the ball hit the ground and should of been turned over. Either way, it is what it is. There is a silver lining when it happens to young guys like Lance, at least he has that experience now. If he keeps doing it, that's a problem, but at least he has film of himself to review and grow from instead of watching others.

yeah, I hope that doesn't happen. lol but I know what you mean. He did that in college and he talked about how he learned from it, but I hope he doesn't do that here cause there is more structure and talent around him to where he doesn't need to try and put the team on his back.

if he keeps it up, you're right. It'll be majestic. I just hope we win a chip and can start a dynasty!

They should be trolling these types of fans more, lol. They've definitely earned it.

yeah. it's funny how much people care about practice throws. it's literally the time to practice throws you wouldnt make in a game.

the best being when Ring said Purdy is an absolute disaster or something like that because he read some tweets about INTs.

I mean, was that after the practice where he had 5 or so ints against the Raiders? That was a disaster.

I think it's a pretty weak excuse to say every int in practice is the result of Brock practicing things he wouldn't try in a real game. Why's he practicing throwing screens to the defensive linemen?

keep caring and evaluating players from tweets without context. it's super important and definitely translates to real life games.

Brock isn't just going "I'm going to do whatever and see if I throw a pick". It's more if he is just letting it fly and trying to make plays, essentially just following his instincts; and if it doesn't out - he just learns from it because he has now attempted it. Then he corrects it, which the players have said he usually has any errors fixed by the next practice.

he's probably much more aggressive in practice than he would be in a game, helping him learn when he can be aggressive like that and how it worked against different defenses. He's not trying to throw picks but it's also not like he is struggling and isn't reading the defense or can't make the throw - he's just being aggressive and testing his limits and how that type of aggression works against different defenses - seeing what he can translate to game day and building chemistry with the guys.

it's actually a win/win for the defense too because they get great aggressive practice.

I can't think of any reason to give a crap about an INT in practice. They are meaningless.

Most importantly, you personally are not actually seeing the plays yourself. You're taking 2nd hand descriptions from various people, many of whom have demonstrated they probably shouldn't be commenting on football x's and o's.

It's practice. Don't know what they're working on as a team. Don't know what Purdy, or the other QBs, are working on as individuals. Not seeing the actual plays.

Sure, and I'm sure if we could see the video of the interceptions there would be a lot more panic around here. A lot of them likely wouldn't look pretty or be good decisions. It's just easy to dismiss them when you can't see them as it is to make them into a big deal. I'm not saying that they matter a ton, because they are ultimately happening in just practice so far. Preseason games are also practice (a type of practice that Kyle has said he gives less weight to than the actual practices), but it doesn't stop people from freaking out about them.

People shouldn't freak out about preseason either. But it does mean more than usual for our fans given the high profile QB2 competition. There's things to be taken away, but in the end it's not that meaningful for the games that count.

I try to stay away from gameday threads for this reason, especially preseason gameday threads.

Y'all stress me out too much.

that's not what he said. he said he gives more weight to joint scrimmages.

At the same time, kneejerk reactions can be entertaining in their own way. Don't cheat yourself!

Wasnt it like 3 picks over two days? Again, it's just practice
