100%. He should have been a complete bust and out of the league within four years considering that this franchise did everything possible to try and ruin him. I wonder what he would have looked like with proper coaching and decent talent around him from the get-go.
Are you guys talking about Alex smith? It's a shame what happened to him, happened to such a great guy too. His arm never quite had the same zip on it after his rookie year because of what they did to his shoulder.
I question if he would ever been better than what he was in KC, but he should of been good much earlier. Biggest shaft job in nfl history. (For qb development). Idk what else we could of done to destroy him, man had heart.
He was in KC under Andy Reid for 5 seasons. He probably wouldn't have been much better than what he was at KC, just get to his prime faster (maybe in 3rd or 4th season)
He was just the safest, most conservative, QB I've ever seen.
fun fact: Alex Smith and Reggie smith were high school teammates. Lol

Reggie Bush. Same school my older kids went to. Both are legends lol. They each donated a crap ton of money for a new gym and field house for the football team.

Lmao idk how I screwed that up. I literally just googled him before I posted that to confirm I wasn't losing my mind. Yeah, i bet they were a blast to watch
Something, I didn't know about Purdy. He started out as the 3rd string QB in college fresh outta high school, the 1st and 2nd string QB's were either benched or injured, In comes Brock Purdy, starts 9 games his freshman year and takes his team to a Bowl game only to lose. It came full circle last season when he started out as a 3rd string rookie QB in the NFL, both QB's in front of him go down. In comes Brock Purdy, starts 7 games and helps guide the 9ers to the NFCC.

Awfully suspicious that the QBs in front of him on the depth chart keep getting injured.

Awfully suspicious that any QB is in front of him on the depth chart to begin with.
