So glad Urban Myer is out of Jacksonville!!! I thought Lawrence was gonna be a bust!!! And I know I'm not the only one who thought that. Myer gone!!! Problem solved!!!

I'm liking what I see from Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh may have found their Big Ben replacement. Lucky f**ks!! I was hoping Pittsburgh was gonna be crap for the next 5 seasons.

Also liking Justin Fields, they're finally giving him some support. I wouldn't be shocked if they took second place in the North. I think the Lions take first this year though.

And as for Purdy please don't turn out to be another Jimmy G and stay healthy man. Please don't be Jimmy prone!!!

I knew Lawrence was going to be a stud because I've followed him since his senior year in high school. I even bet that he would beat Alabama in that first chip and won a lot of money in the office cause everyone thought I was nuts.

i don't really think Pickett is going to be anything special. He may take a big jump but I thought he was very underwhelming last year. I hope he sucks week 1 hahaha

we will find out shortly how Brock's arm is looking! I can't wait!!! A lot of reports saying he will be practicing sooner than later, like I've said many times - I expect he will be limited but participating. I have been right about his entire process so far (mainly lucky and just optimistic) hahaha let's keep it going!

He can go out there and hand off the ball. Maybe have him throw a screen pass or quick slant, or two, and get out.

I'd pass on that. Let Darnold and more importantly Lance get as many reps as possible.

I think they're more eager to see how he does against the raiders instead of pre season.

I just think there's no point and it's not worth any risk.

For clarity, I don't think it's all that different if he was never injured. Our coach is on record downplaying preseason exposure.

He's not a seasoned vet so I do think live reps in the preseason would be beneficial to get the timing and rhythm back. Then again, he did step in cold versus MIA and did fine.

If it were up to me he'd get some real run in preseason. I didn't state what I'd do. I posted what I think the minimum of what Kyle will do.

There's a lot more to playing QB than just passing the ball, so getting in a few series to huddle up, call the plays, audible, call protections, cadence, etc. would be a good idea. That said, I don't think we'll be seeing any play action or 7 step drops lol.

Nothing until maybe the final pre-season game and then maybe just a few snaps. This is fine. I want to see a heavy heavy dose of Trey Lance. It could be now or never with Trey if Brock comes back week 1 and is playing well the entire season.

I still think it's a a bit of a bum wrap for Trey. Say what you will but this organization could never pull the plug on James. It should have happened sooner and I'm not here to debate this. If you feel differently fine but Trey should have been assigned the first year and James somewhere else.

Now here we are and I think it's fair to say many are on the Brock train, I guess me included but I would be a fool to say Trey a bust. We don't know. Again my fear, he lands somewhere else and is allowed to thrive and is the next super star even above Brock. How do we even work this in to find out?

It seems pre-season or bust.

I feel like the Raider joint practices are more important for starters than the pre-season games. I'd play Purdy like three drives total in the pre-season, and use the rest of it QB-wise to solidify the order for Trey and Sam (and potentially show one off for tradebait with a team that wants to get rid of a good but soon to be prohibitively priced pass rusher—for example Minnesota or Washington).
