Agreed about the pitch count, IF there is any chance of a setback. Hell even just to be safe. And he and the other QB's all need to work on getting better at flopping when they feel themselves getting hit. Jimmy, Trey, and Brock have all sustained bad injuries. We can't have that continue.
Because they don't even do internal brace surgeries once you're a certain age. They do straight up TJ surgery regardless of how bad the tear is.
I'm sure they will take it slow with Brock. For sure zero contact until WK1. Sucks because this should have been his off season of improving as a QB being "the dude" instead it's recovery.
That said imo we're in a good spot at QB. If Sam's your QB3 that's pretty sweet.
NY is right, Brock is fortunate that if this injury is going to happen - it happens to him while young.
the other factor into all of this is that his tendon has minimal wear and tear on it, that really helped his recovery. When guys like delhkmme and Big Ben had these injured - they had like 15 years of NFL damage at that point.
brock was able to get the ideal surgery and so far, has had an ideal healing process.
