Hell yea, looks like he's worked his way up to holding two footballs at the same time.

LMAO progress baby! He'll be juggling in no time!

hes added some serious grown man size on this off-season. I know it doesn't always translate but hopefully his body is built much better to handle the rigor of an nfl season.
The above videos are auto-populated by an affiliate.
"He's just a bound-and-determined guy who wants to do it right over and over and over again," Manucci told FOX Sports. "Whether it's throwing mechanics or whatever I used to give him to work on, he hones in.

"His work ethic is paramount to his success. There is a perseverance and a focus that Brock has, that I see when I watched him his rookie year. He just has that innate ability to stay dialed in all the time."

Manucci said Purdy was put in a position to succeed by being selected by the 49ers, being coached every day by former NFL quarterback Brian Griese and playing behind Garoppolo and Lance in training camp his rookie season.

Having Shanahan calling plays and steadily growing in the offense also paid dividends for Purdy.

"I think a lot of people realized how good of an athlete Brock Purdy is," Manucci said. "He's quick. He's fast. And I don't think they give him enough credit for how strong his arm is. Everybody says, 'Well, it's strong enough.' But I beg to differ. It's stronger than you think. And his anticipation and timing are things I don't think people give him enough credit for, too."

This guy actually was pretty accurate when it came to his strengths, then Brock worked on the other stuff. Very interesting

estimated he would be a third round pick

He's better than that evaluation. But somewhat in the ballpark. Just a lot better IMO.

Oh I think he is too. I just find it interesting that some random dude had a much better evaluation on him than any NFL team did. Lol he said third round and everyone else was essentially UDFA. That's sad.

thays why I like to look at other peoples mocks cause you learn some really interesting things and some folks are actually really good at evaluating tape.

LOL dude watched 3 games from his 2019 Sophomore season, his best season. Maybe NFL teams watched more than that? And included his Junior and Senior seasons when he regressed. Playing captain hindsight is easy. Sometimes you try to hard tankle to prop this guy up everyday. We get it, you like him

Lmao I don't need to prop anyone up. Obviously teams were wrong, so there is nothing to prop up? Brocks body of work speaks for itself. He's QB1 for a reason.

Brock is the last QB on our roster that needs to be propped up. Lol that's why this thread is usually quiet in comparison to darnold/Lance.

it's just cool to see random posts like that where someone was much more accurate than most. Lol some of you guys take this stuff way to serious. Lmao like it's some war between the QBs to see who we can make look better.

anyone in their right mind knows that Brock is by far the best and most accomplished QB we have right now. Now we just let camp play out and see if that changes.

Lol then don't. You posting stuff everyday in this thread doesn't keep it quiet. You calling every NFL team sad because a random dude put 3rd round grade after watching 3 games from Purdys best college season isn't trying to prop him up above the last pick in the draft where he was actually drafted? Umm yeah okay. And you are one of the main ones participating in these "wars" and taking s**t seriously lol buttering up Purdy everyday like you're related and trying to take subtle jabs at Lance; bro it's easy to see right through it. Who argues with the last point you made?

Everything you just said is nonsense. Lol just block me if you don't like it. You contribute absolutely nothing. These threads are here to talk about players, if you don't like it - don't open the thread or block me.

im not subtle about anything, I say exactly who I like and who I'm very concerned about? I've been very vocal regarding my concerns for Lance but not everytbing I say is pointed at Lance, there are tons of other QBs it applies to. When I want to say something regarding Lance, I make it very clear. Idgaf if people on here know which players I like the most and which players I have my doubts about.

im not some insecure loser who is ashamed to admit if they were wrong. If my take on a player is wrong, then it's wrong. Who cares? You go back and figure out what you missed or what you were premature about and learn from it. Lol you know.. grow.. lmao

Nonsense? Touché! Dude, you post a random Twitter dude having a 3rd round grade on Purdy after watching 3 games from his sophomore (best) season and question all NFL teams for being wrong about him because of it, even calling them sad. That s**t is hilarious man. Then talk about posters having QB wars when you are a main participant. That's not just nonsense, but hypocritical. If that hurts your feelings, I apologize, but like you I'm not subtle about anything.
Lol stress is real! Looks like a president after their term.

I think what happened is Jimmy became that way after the INTs started piling up. In particular, I think the real turning point was the Lions in 2018, with that pick six that got called back thanks to a defensive penalty.

Here is where he would have ranked in 2017, 18, and 19 in INT% had he threw enough passes to qualify (lower = better):

27th in the league, just ahead of Jay Cutler.
28th in the league, just ahead of Nick Mullens and Josh Rosen.
26th in the league, just behind Andy Dalton and just ahead of Sam Darnold.

He became gunshy because of his own interceptions.

Coaches do NOT tell a QB to not throw to the open guy. Shanahan has point blank said that he does not. In fact, he has said straight up he prefers the QB to take the deeper open guy, and only said something to the effect of, "Well, I'd prefer the QB take the open guy down the field, but if the shorter pass works when a deeper guy was open, well you can't complain."

Kyle has said a million times that he doesn't like his QBs to be gunshy.

I feel like the first time I've seen jimmy start to sling it since 2017 was last year. It was like he had this "eff it, what happens Happens". I thought he was playing great ball.

Ive said it a lot - you can't be out there thinking, just playing. Just instinctually reacting.

I've felt like aaron Rodgers over the last 6-7 seasons or so wasn't the same caliber he was, regardless of the MVPs, because he's so conscious of throwing picks. He's talked about how he tries to keep it low so he has certain ratio and records stat wise. Obviously, Rodgers is still great and very good but I think it's telling of why he struggles most when it counts in the second half of his career.

Speaking of which, that's another problem Trey Lance has had. He gets scared, and then the moment is lost, and it's chaos.

I also agree on Rodgers. Dude hasn't taken enough chances and it's cost them.

Yeah, I was talking to someone else and it was more of lances timing being off. He doesn't pull the trigger as quick as he can sometimes. I think his new throwing motion will help build confidence with that and it'll be fine. His previous windup was pretty funky and long. QBs have made it work like rivers, Herbert, etc but I think it's better to have the motion he has now. Also helps protect the ball.

So Rodgers has spoken openly about how he tries hard to not Throw picks. Which I think has a negative impact on his game, because like you said he gets a little gun shy. Obviously he's one of the best ever but if you notice when we play him in the playoffs, he's thrown picks. No one tries to throw picks but I feel like if you're actively thinking about that - it has a negative impact on the attempts you make and that can hurt your team.

Love Jim, warts and all. The best kind of nutcase in the context of football.
