Hmm I think he's already there? Or should be there shortly. This is what I read:

"Once the 49ers' offseason program ends in a month, after a mid-June minicamp, Purdy will continue his rehabilitation in Jacksonville, Florida, with the private quarterback coaches he used a year ago, before he reported to camp looking to "scratch and claw" to make the 49ers. He'll have that same mindset this year, not to make the team but to make the team a Super Bowl contender."

booyah

I like the last part the best.

Yes sir! The camp was moved up, if I'm bit mistaken. So he may already be with his coaches in flordia. If he isn't, I'm sure he will be there shortly.

this ties into why I don't think he will be as rusty as wine
Think. His body will be tuned up and mentally he has been grinding and prepping per usual. I'm sure by the time training camp comes around, he will be throwing to people in his rehab drills - not quite like he would in a traditional training camp, but in some capacity. It won't be like jimmy last off season where he was 100% separated from
the team or when he has his ACL injury and couldn't do anytbing at all during the off season. Brock is essentially just not throwing a football, he's doing every thing else to get better and in shape.

Yeah, it's wild how it's played out so far. Lol this team has been riddled with injuries for years and some unusual things have come out of it.

There's going to be more injuries too this year. That's what you sign up for when you follow a sport like this,...so get ready.

I know injuries are part of it. It's just the amount of season ending injuries we've had has been extremely abnormal. We've led the league in them over the last six years.

it's one thing for players to miss a game or two here and there and then it's another to have half, or more, of your team on IR every year.

I don't know what you mean by this or what you are implying.

By "The eye test", I am referring to my own personal assessment of Brock Purdy's play vs Jimmy Garappolo (since that's what we are discussing, based on the video).

Going back to just a couple plays off the top of my head from last year; to use as an example of where Brock impressed me as someone who can make plays that I feel Jimmy could not:

The pass to Kittle in the middle of the field with pressure in his face for a huge completion versus Miami.

The TD pass to Christian McCaffrey to the left pylon for a TD with a rusher in his face (I believe he injured his oblique on that play?) versus the Bucs.

So again, what do you mean by bias?

I saw Jimmy make those same throws in 2017. I saw Jimmy make a ridiculous TD throw to Pettis vs Minn in 2018 that was by far more impressive than what Brock did on that throw.

Nothing Alex said was wrong…fans simply can't be objective about it. So yes imo you are being a bit bias if you think everything he said was wrong.

It's the pertinent facts he left out that show his bias and lack of objectivity. Scoring improved almost ten points a game, passing improved outside the numbers(led the league in efficiency), 3rd down passer rating(112.8 to 132.4) as well as efficiency improved drastically(%64 to %72.9), all from a rookie qb, as opposed to a highly paid veteran. I guess if you chose to ignore those facts, then his assertion might seem true.I like to base my opinion on a summation of all available facts so I can make an informed decision though.Nobody knows if the kid is the next coming or not, only time will tell. The only people who think he and Jimmy are the same player are either uninformed, or short-sighted and only seeing what they want to see, or are flat out pushing an agenda. The willful omission of facts from an argument because they do not support your claims is flat out disingenuous.

I gave up on getting current player jerseys a while ago. Got a Kap jersey then he s**t the bed. Got a bowman jersey then his knee ripped in half. Have my old Rice jersey still (plus Gore) those are timeless.

I just stick with the hoodies and shirts now lol

I told my wife if she ever plan on buying me a jersey it needs to be personalized or nothing at all

Yup, that's the way to go about it

Nah, personalized a jersey is the worst! I could understand it if I was a fan of a team that didnt have any stars or legends. But with us being Niner fans, you gotta get an actual player.

BINGO. Personalized is still better than "12th man" but I don't like either.

My favorite jersey till this day is Julian Peterson with the actual stitched numbers. He wasn't an all time great but he reminds me of the era I started watching.

BTW Tankle, how rude of your GF to not buy me a Purdy jersey. It was my birthday this year as well.

12th man jerseys were the dumbest things ever. It screamed "hey look at me!" rather than repping the team or a player on the team. Trash.

LMAO what?! You respond and then immediately block me?? I don't care but I just think that's hilarious.
They're projecting Brock to become a pro bowler this year. Which I guess isn't saying much in the NFC. Lol NFC is lacking talent overall at the position. If he continues what he did last season, should make it very easily.

I have jerseys, they've always been gifts cause everyone knows I'm a big fan, but I never wear them. I like to get them signed or something and hung up.

my dad instilled in me at a young age that once your 15+, you don't wear another grown man's name on your back.

with that said, I don't judge or care if others do - to each their own. It's cool to support the team. I just like to frame them and hang 'em up.

100% on both of these posts, I wear basic 49er polo style shirts for games at this point.
