Fantastic news that his recovery is going great! Hope it continues, and if/when his number is called he picks up where he left off. Get well soon, BCB!

"The rookie was challenged in the pocket, facing pressure on 16 of his 33 dropbacks (48.5 percent). Purdy had his struggles with the pass rush in his face and completed four of his 12 attempts for 55 yards when under pressure. The Cowboys also registered two sacks and caused two scrambles
Purdy still was effective downfield, completing six of his eight attempts for 126 yards on targeted throws of 10 or more yards downfield. The 23-year old completed two of his four attempts of 20 yards or more, with both completions coming between the hashes.
Purdy has not thrown an interception in his last 95 pass attempts"
Not even an analysis, just lameness. Cowboys had a top D. Lots of pressure and we still won. Idk what ppl expect from BP, it's like, he broke tons of records, played near flawless imo and as a rookie, made Brady look like yesterday's lunch and ppl still get all nit picky..sorry I don't get it. We are blessed with Brock. And hope he keeps ballin'.

Nature of the beast. 90% of the nit picking is basically countering arguments from past QBs. Or other QBs I suppose.
DISCLAIMER: I should probably put IMO so NDSU don't mistake my numbers for facts

I love that Brock's having a smooth recovery! Pumped about this. Now let's hope his throwing ramp up goes even better!
i really want to see what his weekly ramp up schedule is and where his arm strength is expected to be in 7-8 weeks (when training camp starts). My guess, he will be approx 80% when camp starts.
If so, I think he'll be participating much earlier than Usual

I wonder who will start in the preseason, if they will do Trey and give Brock a little more time or what. QB suspense

We Wil travel to Vegas right? For practice? I think that is what Kyle will use as a big measuring stick to see where Brock is at.
but yeah, maybe he will play in the second two and not the first one. It'll be interesting

This shows precisely why, IMHO, the offense got ten points per game better. He doesn't pass up as many down the field opportunities.
Or at least half of why. The other half is the red zone TDs, obviously.

The way he seems the game, his instincts, his mindset. I think it's all perfect for what we do here. Now he has some experience and hopefully he has a big jump in year 2. I hate game having a game manager.
"Obviously this year I'm not out in the field, but being able to when a play call comes in and I hear it and I can see it better mentally, and it just happens a little bit quicker," he said.
"But there's still a lot of details and things that I can clean up with how I operate and see the defense. So that's what I'm working on right now. But I think it's like a night-and-day difference coming in as a rookie compared to now." - Dirty Purdy

I love the fact that he is healing the way he is supposed to. Now without looking I'm guessing that if he supposed to throw for three months before he gets cleared to step on the field like the doctors have said, I'm guessing he won't be ready for game one even if he is just barely ready for game one rushing him would be a mistake not only for him, but also for the organization, now I know this is not a Trey Lance thread and I do not want to turn it into one but when you give up that much for a player and he only gets a chance to start one and a half games giving up on him now is doing a disservice to the organization . I know you guys automatically think I hate Brock and that is not the case. As soon as I saw him do the double pump fake I knew he was the real deal but that doesn't mean Lance is not either and even if we go with Brock permanently to let Trey get a few games in to get more trade value out of them is the best scenario possible. We can't get any less.

Wow!! Trey Lance lover! Hahah I'm Jk
if Brock isn't ready, then of course start someone else such as Lance/darnold. I just wouldn't classify it as we are giving up on Lance.
and if the team is, it's really just a credit to Brock for being what we need/want. Doesn't mean Lance won't have a good career. I personally don't care to see Lance play here unless Brock is hurt or sucking. If he continues to play how he was, I'm happy with just him.

On the other side of that coin, a game, or a couple of games, isn't really a large enough sample to increase Trey's trade value, or to evaluate or develop him. Obviously, if he were to get a few games and look great we're probably going to stick with him.
This is why Sam is here. To give us two chances at having competent, or hopefully better, play at the position in the short term in the event our starter misses games at the beginning of the season, or maybe some games during the year down the road.
Just play the best we have in whatever situation we're in.

Based on the expected timelines for Brock's return, if he's 100% by sept 1 (very realistic), that is 9 or so days to prep for the Steelers - more than enough.
setback's can still happen but right now alll signs point to him being 100% a week before game one. So idk why anyones worried he is being rushed.
Mullens was cleared to play football 5 months after surgery. I've listened to interviews with the folks who did the surgery/created it and they've been very clear that Brock will be back to his old self. So I'm excited

Yeah I mean if he's cleared to practice he's gonna practice and play.
If he can't, well we have plenty of talent behind him that will have gotten a ton of preseason reps and should be sharp.
Brock may be a little rusty so I think it's best to have an open mind with that considered.
