Why are people so concerned about Cousins?
It´s just Florio being Florio. Every year this moron is saying Cousins will join Shanahan. Every f**king year.
How the hell will they be able to sign Cousins next year anyway? There´s Bosa and Aiyuk to pay.
The Niners are going with the cheap QB rookie contracts.

Just purely based off of salary cap space, I don't even know how it would be possible. It would have devastating results on our roster and resigning guys, like you mentioned above.

i wouldn't even want Aaron Rodgers, not because I don't think he is a top qb, but it would ruin our team. I'd rather keep doing what we are doing and see if Purdy can continue to get better and lead us to the promise land. I'm not interested on betting the farm for one year in an effort to win it all, ESPECIALLY not with cousins. Lol I would throw up

i want an elite tier qb for the next 10-12 years so bad 😭😭

It's wild how much this is either ignored or forgotten about. The way the team played from Dolphins game through Dallas was probably the best offense we've had since Steve young.

Yeah a lot of people ignore he was the number 1 rated quarterback since starting and also I believe we had the most points scored on offense with him. More than Philly Chiefs Bills Bengals with THEIR franchise qbs. That is undebatable when it comes to people doubting his performance or making excuses as to why he looks better than he really is.

He didn't even have Deebo Samuel for a few of those games. Our offensive line wasn't so great in pass protection either especially in the playoffs. Most other quarterbacks would choke and have. I've even seen Herbert and Allen not do that well at all with the same type of pressure in their face. This guy is the real deal easily at top 10 quarterback if he continues to play even 80-85% of the way he played last year.

As we all know, if Shanahan had a top 10 quarterback not even top five, we would have two or three more Super Bowls which is pretty amazing that we are doing this without a top third quarterback in terms of play/performance. I think now we have one so we should win a Super Bowl in the next two or three years

I agree with everything you're saying. Idk why anyone would want to see a different qb play, unless Purdys not fully recovered yet. I'm not concerned about his injury, I expect him to come back better than last year. He's already working and studying, getting mentally prepared for everything and reviewing his film. Working on footwork. Etc.

he should also be more than halfway through throwing rehab by the time camp starts, so I expect the final few weeks of camp - he will get reps with the 1's to fine tune for week 1.

Im super excited to see him play.

You know how we know Purdy played amazing… so well that there isn't anything to really b***h about? Lol this thread is quiet.

Threads on this site are only really active when there is something to critique about with the player/coach. Lol

me either. The way he operated the offense and elevated everyone's level of play was beautiful. I also loved how good he was in the redzone, throwing dimes and making magic happen! That's been something we've lacked for a long time, someone doing that consistently.

I'm eagerly waiting for early June to see how he looks in his recovery. Hopefully, some news comes out a week or two earlier (May 22nd or so) that his range etc have recovered and he's moving into throwing. That's just hope. Hahah but would be awesome.
