QB Brock Purdy Thread

I agree that Brock has been playing good other than the recent INTs. I don't necessarily believe he'll be better after the INTs. It's part of his nature to try and make plays. I actually don't care if he throws an INT as long as it doesn't cost them a score. I'd rather he try and fail than not try at ll like JG who often took the easy throw instead of trying to hit an open man downfield.

Because it's usually the defense that's consistent and the offense is inconsistent.

I'm still a huge believer in Brock. I don't think he's reached is prime yet, and he's making plays that Jimmy and Trey wouldn't make.

The scrambling aspect of his game is starting to show itself, and it's exciting because he's so efficient at it.

Whether that's buying time or running for first downs, he's adding to the structure of the offense... not taking anything away from it.

Get Deebo and Trent Williams back, start incorporating Mason more in the redzone or to close out games, play less man coverage and let's make a push for a top seed.

How does one throw an interception without it costing them a score? Any change of possession that wasn't the result of a score seems like a lost opportunity.

I believe we've gone 4 weeks in a row with a turnover in the redzone.

Grant Cohn is back to hating on Purdy. You see his latest article? So unnecessary too. Trying to throw him in with Jimmy G.

give me, the Cliff notes
or should I say Cohn notes?

He was comparing him to Jimmy G. Because Jimmy G went to the Raiders and is struggling. That means Purdy is not a franchise QB. It's all Shanahan and his system.

Grant is wrong on this one. Jimmy is not in the same league as Brock. Purdy is the real deal and will only get better. Jimmy is proving to be the guy I always thought him to be. Bench boy. Backup at best. His days in the nfl are numbered. but all he does is win….. really? Yeah. No. Sooo happy we moved on.

Purdy is better and the real deal IMO. Jimmy G is just older, injured and on a really bad team. I think he's declining. But he wasn't always useless. He's not as good as Brock though and never was.

Why does the webmaster insist on spamming the home page with Cohns' pompous and condescending clickbait articles that are always annoyingly titled as a question he wishes he knew the answer to. It is clear Cohn is not a fan of the team.

Don't think the webmaster chooses. Doesn't your page say this under the Cohn videos?

Someone probably posted this already but a great breakdown to put things into perspective.

A lot of big time throws. Scrambling picking up first down. Maneuvering around in the pocket. Unfortunate that he had the TO's at the end because he was having an amazing game.

Great breakdown. Anyone thinking that Purdy is done, overrated, or "has one more chance" needs to sit down and watch that.

This is great stuff. Still plenty to look forward to with Brock

Last week Steve Young was saying that was something he needed to do because the yards were there to be taken. As you say, he's adding to the offense. It makes the defense play a bit differently when they know he can do that.

I'm not worried. He had been playing at such a high level, with so many good pieces in play, it isn't likely he will fall in the ditch at this point.

well what he did in the past is the past. it doesn't decide what the future holds.

Hopefully he shakes off whatever what was the matter, and that goes for the rest of the team/staff

luckily i don't watch or read that much GC so i don't get those spams
He had boneheaded games trying to do too much at Iowa St. too. Yet still set every QB record worth mentioning for that program. It looks like he sees the field on the sidelines and realizes the D cant hold up so he tries to push things too much. Wont be the first time and wont be the last that a QB sees his D giving up dumb plays and not getting off the field, then decides to play hero ball. And as many have said... he is just getting to a full season worth of games.

Defenses are catching up, he can't float the ball over the middle anymore. he has to continue to hit other options and maybe layoff the middle a bit
