He retired.
I'm really not concerned with the assistants that left, maybe McDaniel a little bit that's it. As long as Shanny is calling the plays we're good there and I think Lynn is an upgrade over McDaniel and Turner.

I'm only concerned about Bobby Turner, I like the Lynn hiring, I wish Welker stayed, but I like Hankerson, not really worried.
It was indicated Turner's having some kind of surgery on both knees this year so it's understandable at his age that will put him out for quite a while rehabilitating that.

Damn. Dont mean to sound alarmed but two weeks ago we"re yukking it up with vic fangio to be sr consultant. Now were hiring dudes with NO pro experience. What the heck.

It's just a quality control position. The lowest position on the coaching ladder. Every team hires these guys every off-season. It's just an entry level position on the staff. Everyone has to start somewhere.
When you look at it from afar, we really have 3 head coaching caliber coaches on our team currently. Shanny obviously but Lynn deserves to be a head coach still imo and Ryans will probably be a head coach after next season. I think we will be fine next year with regards to coaches.
Looks like Kyle is going to fill out his coaching staff with a bunch of young coaches with very little or no NFL experience. It's a gamble. McVay like usual is hiring experienced coaches to replace the coaches he lost.
I think Sorensen will be DeMeco's right hand man aka James Betcher who I read had a hand in installing the blitz packages.

Wow, Kyle is stocking up on Quality Control staff for the defense. He usually keeps just two for offense and two for defense:

Defensive Quality Control - Andrew Hayes-Stoker, Klay Kubiak, Asauni Rufus & Stephen Adegoke

He had a similar surgery in 2014 and had to be out for a yr all the same. I expect him to be back in 2023 if his recovery goes smoothly.

Huh? You calling Liam Coen an experienced coach? The only dude I'm seeing with legit "experience" is Greg Olson and I would say Anthony Lynn is in the same ballpark with him.

LAR's position coaches overall don't have some massive amount of experience.
Losing out on fangio was a big blow, now I feel we settling for scrubs , and now Bobby turner too sigh….

who's a scrub? We're not replacing a DC here. Adding quality control guys and assistants to position coaches. Not sure what kind of high end coach you're expecting there?

Only positional coach hire I actually care about is QB coach and hopefully it's John Beck once Trey leaves his camp (Beck can't be hired before then).
