Oh you think Lynn was brought in as a position coach and not as a coordinator or game plan specialist.

I mean it's a guess either way. AHC who will be involved with everything run game.

If Lynn is replacing McDaniel, that means he's Kyle's new right hand man. It's not that we're saying he'll never interact with running backs, it's that I would be surprised if specifically coaching running backs was part of his title.
Going from HC, to OC, to AHC Running Backs coach seems like not only a demotion, but a lower position with MORE responsibilities. It just wouldn't make sense to me.
Who said Lynn is replacing McDaniel? Lynn has been a running back coach (then AHC/RB coach) from 2003-2016. I expect Slowik to get more run into the offensive game planning. Him and his bother are moving up the ranks in the NFL much like the LaFleurs. I expect SF to had more quality control coach guys to groom as well. I can see Kubiak who's currently on the defensive side, switching to the offense down the road as well.
The only way Kyle could get Ebree to begin with, was to "promote" him to AHC (pay raise too). He was still a TE coach end of the day. I expect the same thing with Lynn. He will have his say in the running game and focus on the RBs... all while getting a pay raise for the title of AHC. I don't see him being a straight up replacement for McDainel.
We've had a pretty advanced coaching staff here for a while....Kyle was damn near making up coaching positions to have all these guys under one roof. Time to start grooming the next crop of young studs. If there's something I'm not worried about, it's Kyle finding good coaches and developing there.

Agree on the bolded. As far as i know, all the vacancies is on the offensive side. Kyle can probably coach every position himself on the offensive side. Not worried about any vacancies on the offensive side in general, but am worried about getting excellent offensive minds and coaches in particular.
I'd live to get a Kyle Shanahan 2.0 to coach WRs and a Bobb Mckittrick 2.0 as an assistant OLine coach, for example.

He was a secondary coach with Seattle for several years. Seems like a solid pickup.
