Common theme from news outlets today is that the Packers blew it or they collapsed. Have yet to hear much about the 49ers defense or how they won.

Similar to week 18 and Wildcard weekend. Guess the 49ers are lucky other teams collapse otherwise they wouldn't be here. Unfortunately luck does run out. Time to accept our inevitable fate

Grep Pappa was just saying how he felt bad for the Packer fans as he was leaving the stadium and driving through town. I can see where he's coming from. I've been a Niner fan for nearly 70 years and I have seen more games than I can count. I love this team. I hate it when they lose. But once the season is over, I switch over to the Warriors and start thinking about baseball. Some fans start getting their golf clubs cleaned up. I other words, we have alot of options in the Bay Area.

Green Bay is a remote desolate place. Small town of 200,000 people with nothing to do in the winter except Packer games. They aren't just fans. They own the team. They truly live and die with that team. To go into that game as the #1 seed and lead the entire game only to lose because of a blocked punt will torment them for years. They were 4 minutes away from hosting another game and then boom. Lights out. I think the team was just as stunned as the fans.

Being a Bay Area guy has been a blessing for a sports fan. So many teams and so many titles. Just glad I wasn't born and raised in GB.
