Dak was 23/43, was sacked five times, threw a pick, was running for his life most of the game, and was a modest 5/15 on converting 3rd and 4th downs. I have a hard time questioning Ryan's personnel usage yesterday after what I just mentioned, and he was better than a 7.5 performance, just my opinion.

Dak holds the ball longer than he should.
Be that as it may, attest that to coverage, scheme, or both , the d line created havoc all game and this high flying passing attack that they supposedly have was shut down and all I'm saying is this is something to build on leading into next week.
a new wrinkle that i haven't seen .. was bringing two extra OL to block in the back field against our DL

That was definitely interesting. Was their first touchdown drive and they marched right down the field.

I wasn't too sure about Dallas!

Concerns? I have a few. On the plus side, provided the Green Bay defense can stop the run, they had better get ready for it. Because Kyle Shanahan is going to scheme some gorgeous running plays for Deebo. Plus, Elijah is going to gash the middle of that Green Bay defensive front again and again and again.

On the minus side? It looked like Garoppolo aggravated the hand injury. I'm not at all surprised. There was going to come a point where he aggravated it, and it happened. We essentially have a starting QB playing with one arm tied behind his back, his throwing arm. No complaints here. The 49ers roll with Jimmy. But, he's also hurt again. This is concerning.

This all part of the Jimmy experience. Did 9ers bring up that Jimmy aggravated his injury?

Imagine beating the Cowboys and Packers in the same postseason Any fan through the 90s knows what I'm talking about.
The recurring late game collapses from this team are disturbing. Im not laying total blame on Shanahan, because it's usually the D that falls apart at the end, but Kyle also needs to drill Jimmy better on the importance of not doing the one thing he absolutely could NOT do, like make a careless pass. Before the play even starts, tell him to throw it away immediately if its not there, or even take the sack to keep the clock moving. The Cowboys don't come close to winning without that pick. Inexcusable situation to put yourself in when you're just in charge of bleeding clock.

It's happened over and over with this team. We build a lead, and then go ice cold and it becomes a race to just limp to the finish line before the other team can catch up. We were definitely the better team yesterday, so it's ridiculous that they almost won.

The team has always run hot and cold. Sometimes we're unstoppable, and sometimes we look like the worst team
in football.

It's tough to gauge the Packer defense based upon recent performances. They've been up and down over the past 1.5 months, sure, but they're also getting some top-level talent back for this match-up.

Last year Pro-Bowler, OLB Za'darius Smith, has been back practicing the past couple weeks and is expected to return, his first playing time since opening weekend. Another 2020 Pro-Bowler, CB Jaire Alexander, is also expected to return following recovery from his week 4 shoulder injury. Yet another pass rush veteran, OLB Whitney Mercilus, is also expected to return giving the Packers another quality depth/rotational piece.

The return of these three players will certainly improve the defense and allow DC Joe Barry to present new twists and schemes. Gauging this defense upon recent performance may not produce a very accurate depiction of what they'll present on Saturday.

We've played them with those guys before. Can they stop the run? I don't see it. Our passing game is also better than week earlier in the season and better than 2019 as well. Can we stop them? Not all game. We will need to play mistake free. Going to be interesting to see round 2.

The 49ers played against the backups to those injured/missing Packers players listed above (Smith OUT; Mercilus a Texan) week 3 of this year and averaged 3.2 yds/att. The 49ers also played the Packers last year (week 9) and, again, averaged 3.2 yds/att. The Packers won both those games played at San Fran.

Don't think that answers your question but it's the most recent information to go on.

Also, just a side note: anything match-up related regarding Packers defense vs 49ers offense prior 2020 has limited use since the Packers changed defensive coordinators this past off-season. It's a different coordinator with a different scheme and a different mindset. Referring back to 2019 (and beyond) is pretty much pointless from a personnel and coaching standpoint.
I'm not onto making predictions but I know I fear Rodgers playing at home more than I do Dak. Packers have always been tough in December and January at home.
