Jimmy didn't play perfect, but dude is a tough motherf**ker, he should get a lot more respect from fans here...also , lots of crow eating should happen on this website.
If they do end up trading him, don't send him to Pittsburgh or New Orleans. Those are two teams that I think are a Garoppolo away from being potential SB contenders.
Highest bidder. One of our last fears with this roster would be Jimmy G.
If we do trade Jimmy, we need to do right by him and get him to New Orleans. That's the perfect place for him, and if they can make it work — and they're willing to pay — I feel like we owe him that much for not being a "b***h" and risking his season next year to play (who knows if he could have made it worse and lost part or all of the next season?).
He isn't ever going to be great, but he showed heart today, and we owe him for that IMHO. And for him handling the Trey situation so well.
Jimmy can win a SB I believe. He lost the one with us but a lot of other things factored in. He would be good with NO or PIT, those teams can win and go deep with him
My preference is that he wins one with us. Pull a 2011 Giants.
My preference is that he wins two with us. Pull a 2023 Super Bowl San Francisco
Even if we win one this year, and the team actually wants to keep him, he's probably going to want to go. Because if the 49ers keep him next year, he's gonna have to actually fight for that starting job instead of getting 95% of first team reps like he got this year, and if he loses the competition, no way the 49ers will pay him that much. I think if I'm Jimmy, I say, thanks, but no thanks. And I think the 49ers will either grant his release or trade him where he wants to go.

Kyle was brilliant. From starting Jimmy to calling the plays, he was on the money. It boggles the mind that fans want to chase one of the best young coaches in the game out of town. The amount of adversity this team overcame this year, the grit and determination they showed in this game, and you don't think the coach has something to do with it? Get outta here with that nonsense. Kyle earned some respect and it's sad our some of our dumbass fans have no recollection what a s**t-Coach carousel looks like. Let me remind you… Erickson, Nolan, Singletary, Kelly, Porn-Stache. You want to return to that?
It's because those people really don't have a clue about football. They never see all the wide open guys Kyle schemes up, or recognize how perfectly timed his play calls are — and I'm not just referring to the Deebo touchdown pass, which itself was schemed up and set up by Kyle. Sometimes key runs.
Yeah, Kyle makes some dumb decisions from time to time, when he gets too caught up in the moment and forgets the big picture.
But one thing that really pisses me off more than anything about this crowd is Kyle's two minute management. He's usually doing the BEST you can do, knowing full well we can move down the field quickly. The same people complaining about him taking a lot of time off the clock until we get to midfield are the same ones blaming Shanahan for the Green Bay loss.

I was just watching highlights of the second half. Deebo is really something to watch. That kid is so damn special. Everyone around the league is talking about him. I just had to take a step back and realize how lucky we are to have such a great player on our team. The kid can do it all.
We're lucky to have both Deebo and Aiyuk.
For young players... they perform like Vets in tough games.
I don't know how they do it... is it the coaching? Did our talent evaluators do such a good job? They are so clutch. And they even used to Jump hella high or push their way through someone to make tough catches. Thankfully lately Jimmy doesn't throw Hospital passes anymore.
Even Cohn believes Deebo deserves some MVP votes. I don't think these guys will do it, but they really should. If Kupp gets one vote, Deebo better get two.

I have to wonder how much different Stafford would have looked if they hadn't beat him up like that. He looked great in the first half but by the 4th quarter he was missing passes even when he wasn't getting pressure. It reminded me of Jim Everette back when he fell down without even being touched after the 49ers had beaten him to a pulp. That last pass that Stafford threw was under thrown badly. He makes that pass all the time so I have to think all that pressure contributed to that throw.
It makes what Montana did against the Eagles in that game where he made all those throws in the 4th quarter even more remarkable. The Eagles had beaten him up just as bad as the Niners beat up Stafford.
People complain about the secondary, but I 100% with the idea of building as powerful a defensive line as you can. And to be fair, we did have Jason Verrett, who had been playing well, so it's not like they disregarded the secondary.
Big mistake with Solomon Thomas, obviously, but I like the idea of stacking as many Players with a capital P on that line as you can. Waves of pass rushers. We just need to find a guy in the secondary next off-season. Although Ambry Thomas has been coming along. Still, he was drafted for depth according to Shanahan.

He realized at the last second the horrible decision he was about to make and pulled his hand back.

How great is it that every time we play against jalen Ramsey he throws a tantrum on the sideline. From that jags game to every rams game since then shanny has clowned his defense when it matters most

Worst fanbase I'm the league. Maybe all of sports. Y'all are some straight up B*TCHES.
I got a warning for THIS?? All the hate and venom that people are spewing at our own team, and I get a warning for calling it out?
"Forty Whiners" is fitting for y'all. Crying like babies in the first half a game that's still very winnable. Mods dead silent on that but finding time to hand out a warning to me for calling them out. What a joke.
He's not wrong. Lol
Absolutely spot on …
"Babe I swear we have the worst fanbase in the NFL" is a regular comment out of my mouth. The 49ers fanbase is a reflection of Millenial/GenZ Veruca Salt "I want a elite QB and I want one noooowwww" style.
It is nearly impossible to participate in any discussions because nay sayers who are juuust positive they are right and will argue it for pages and pages, being all manner of rude and dismissive and trollie while they do it, but then get away with a single "I'll eat my crow" posts when all is said and done when they were proven wrong, and it happens over and over and over. When I talk to the few 49ers fans I actually know, it's like they don't even watch the games, talking about things that I know to not be true cause I watched the freaking game and saw it with my own eyes.
These "haters" are STILL right. Jimmy played like a warrior and led us back, but he ALSO put us in the hole with two boneheaded interceptions. We're right. He's mercurial. He's average, because his highs are often cancelled by his lows.
Jimmy giveth and Jimmy taketh away. The only people who ignore that reality are the ones still convinced he's going to become something different. But we ALL know it's true, and we all know our only hope is for Jimmy to go on a hot streak.
Fortunately, we all also know that's possible, because it happened over a few games this season, and in 2019 as well. It's all about WHEN. We need it NOW.

I loved when he brought a hit stick hit at Deebo. Then Deebo just shrugged it off and Ramsey ended up on the ground and popped back up trying to talk s**t.
