What a f**king shocker, they were wrong again on their initial prognosis.

The initial diagnosis was a broken finger, oohhh look still a broken finger. Nothing has changed.

That's not what I meant, but I'm sure you knew that

I would've been surprised like hell if he played right away after a broken finger. Especially the position he plays where you can easily fumble and cost the team. If he played d could've seen him playing with it wrapped up.

I agree. I think it was Roger Craig that fumbled and lost us the three-peat and I think he had a hand injury in that game (I could be wrong). Mitchell - with a broken finger - having a helmet hit right on it, probably easily would create a fumble.

What did you mean? The coaches saying he should be fine and be available this week even though it's a broke finger. But clearly it's a broken finger that required surgery, so we should expect he will probably miss this week. As by now, we know we can't trust what the coaching staff says about injuries, when they typically say it to early in the week until the doctors are able to examine it. That's just my logical sense on it.

Seriously. Can they at least tell us what hand, what finger, was there a pin placed in the bone, etc. All things that help us have realistic expectations on a time table.

That's his literal point. This has been a long standing issue now.

If we're going to win this game it's going to be on the back of our offense. They're going to find success running the ball on us. Urban Meyer has been thinking about taking it to shannahan for *years*

They run a 3-4. Let's meet the crew:

Malcom Brown - LDE 6'2" 320 lbs
1st round pick from the Pats in 2015, he hasn't graded out well this year (PFF: 57)
"I'm a run person, I like the run game, I invite the run game," Brown said on the 49ers rushing attack. "It was like that against the Colts. We know what you're going to do. We just have to go out there and try to play as best we can. But as a physical player I like to play the run."

DaVon Hamilton - NT 6'4" 320lbs
Played for Urban Meyer at ohio state. Not their best, but probably the Jaguars most consistent lineman. (PFF: 59.7)

Dawuane Smoot - RDE 6'3" 254
3d rounder from 2017. Clearly undersized as a 3-4 DE but has brought pressure. 3.5 sacks this year so far. (Managed to catch Josh Allen, the QB) (PFF: 70.9)

Josh Allen - Weakside LB 6'5" 262
2019 draft pick that is wildly explosive. We're going to need to have dwelly/juice chipping this guy. (PFF: 84.9) 6 sacks this year.

Damien Wilson - Inside backer 6' 245lbs
4th round selection back in 2015. This dude sucks and we should get him in coverage on kittle ASAP. (PFF: 51)

Myles Jack - Other inside Backer
Wait this dude might suck more. But he was a 2nd round pick in 2016. (PFF: 47.8)

Jihad Ward - SLB 6'5" 290
Slow as hell. Their linebackers are a glaring weakness. (PFF: 54)

Tyson Campbell - LCB 6'2"
2nd round pick this year. Mocked to us a bunch last draft. He's still learning, but could put it together. (PFF: 55)

Rayshawn Jenkins -SS 6'1 220lbs
Chargers 4th rd draft pick in 2017, serviceable speed. Can bring the wood.

Andrew Wingard -FS 6'0"
Possibly the jags best defensive player. Misses tackles but flys to the ball. (PFF: 69... nice)

Shaquill Griffin - RCB 6'0" 200lbs and fast as hell.
Legit starting CB, remember him from Seattle? (PFF 72.5)

Quick thoughts: Jimmys passing game matches up really well with this team. They're soft in pass D over the middle of the field. We should be fine.

Great stuff. Their defense has stepped up big time and I heard their pressure rate has gone up to 46% (top 5). If they stuff our 1st down runs (or we shoot itself in the foot) and get us in 1st and 2nd and longs, that plays to their strengths and our pass protection weaknesses.

And your other point is spot on. Our run defense is s**t inside right now. They could feast inside here.

So these are my two worry-points.

I haven't seen an ass interception like that since the Blue Oyster Cult opened its doors.
