This does not get better for us. Ownership needs to clean house. New gm and new head coach time. The system is broken. Success cant be achieved with those two leading. Sorry that is the hard truth. We have ugly seasons ahead of us. We are screwed. But lets give them more time to prove out what we already know…. Let's keep delaying so we suffer longer.

I tell you what, I am a reasonable guy. This is what's most likely going to end up happening, Jed will give Kyle one more season to try out Lance. But, there is no way you can accept another 2 potential losing seasons on top of the current 2 losing seasons, making 4 losing seasons in a row.

This is not about being emotional, it is about facing and dealing with reality.

I agree here. Shanny should have this season and next season to build up Lance. If Lance ends up being a bust even by mid-season, Jed needs to start thinking about other coaches. Hell, maybe we go with a college coach, I dunno. If I were Shanny, I'd start playing Lance now to get started. Jimmy is done after this year anyway, whats the point in playing him.

Those of us that had reasonable expectation for what was in store for this season wanted to start Trey for that reason many weeks ago. But many fans and the Niners organization were living in dream land about this team being anything but average. Trey needs to start now and start getting his much needed experience. He shouldn't have any unreasonable pressure put on him being this team is going nowhere this year.

Before you even talk about Lance, the first question you need to ask is why does the 2021 team stink when we have kept most of the players? Listen, we have paid top dollars in extending what we believe to be top talents such as Kittle and Warner. Lance only pertains to the offense. But, the Defense sucks too. This is where you need to start from. To me, it isn't really about Lance, it is Kyle Shanahan. When the patient is ill, the doctor will have to look at the underlying cause as opposed to just treating the symptoms alone.

That's the thing. That was 5 years ago. Kyle has had an enormous say in constructing this roster now. I'm having a hard time seeing Kyle just stepping aside now.

Lance is here for 3 first round picks. He needs to play and Kyle needs to MAKE him succeed. Kyle is the one on the hot seat, not Lance.

This isn't a disease, this is about results. Kyle hasn't gotten results unless his defense balls out like in 2019.
