Norman and Kirkpatrick should both be gone. Norman for being undisciplined and Kirkpatrick for being the absolute worst. Kirkpatrick makes me miss DJ.

Bill Walsh would sometimes send a message to players who simply were not performing up to expectations. He showed them the door. He also told others that they had better improve, because if they got cut, their careers would be over. Nobody would want them. Not every former 49er loved Bill Walsh. We only hear from the former players who did love the man. There were a lot of them who didn't. Yet, Walsh did what had to be done.

It's time for Kyle to start sending this message. Not just to Josh Norman. But it would be a good start. There are some defensive line players who need to hear the same message as well.

Don't leave out the Oline. Brunskill, Compton, McGlinchey, Mack and Banks.

Actually, I thought the line held up pretty well. Jimmy G. played an OK game. Yet he held onto the ball for a long time on his dropbacks when the team absolutely had to pass to keep up with AZ's non-stop offensive attack. It's tough on an offensive lineman when every defensive player on the other side of the ball knows a pass is coming. Even with that, I thought the line held up well.

The two fumbles killed us. But what killed us even more is the play of the defense. The linebacker play was absolutely horrible. The tackling by the secondary was even worse.

Moseley whiffed on a number of tackles too. I wish they didn't re-sign him.

Moseley is a good NFL CB. Not a lockdown #1 but he's solid opposite a good starter. He was the starter in 2019 when the Pass D was in the top 5. This regression for him is similar to the regression we're seeing from all pro Warner and I think it has more to do with coaching than ability.

Kyle needs to send a message.
