1. It's a prerecorded video. No one is nervous in a pre-recorded video.

2. Staley is a former pro-athlete who is very experienced speaking to the public. I don't think he's nervous.

He's a tad bit awkward, but that will subside as he does more of these. Speaking off the cuff in public is much easier than curating content and presenting it in an easily digestible format.

The problem with my wishful thinking isc this is the NFL. The Lions have been training hard with nothing to lose under their crazy coach that tells them to "bite us in the knees". They're going to want to come out and put up a fight win or lose to change their perception.

Also, with the preseason being like it is and us not wanting to risk injury in meaningless games means not enough reps for the starters. Last year the first two games we were way off. Jimmy threw pics, threw over people, set up Kittle to have his leg broken on a simple screen. I just hope they figure it out in the first half because I don't think the talent and scheme difference shows up until they synch up and calm down.

I think our D will bail us out with significant turnovers and mask the rust. I'm thinking 31-13 final.

We remember what it's like going into the season planning on the next offseason. It sucks. We need to take care of business and not let penalties / turnovers keep it close.
