Are those guys the best players on the Lions? Seriously, they don't have a good team. We better not lose.

By the 3rd quarter this should be our 4th preseason game with Trey and the 2nd stringers mopping up. I want to see Jimmy, Bosa, Kittle and Ford on the sideline joking with ball caps on.
If this is anything short of a blow-out, I'll question this team's prospects this season.

in 2019, they almost lost to TB in week 1. I dont think we need to overreact if they don't blow out the Lions

TB had twice the talent this Detroit team has and playing in that FL heat in early Sept is no joke

I agree that the Niners should win this game but they can't get over confident. It's the first game of the year and it's on the road. Most of the regulars haven't played much. Early season games are total unknowns and why I would never bet on one.

I'm worried about Jared Goff and whether the 49ers defense can rattle him.

TB was a pretty decent team too, much better than the Lions who are going through a major rebuild. The Lions are the Jim Tomsula 49ers without the talent. At least Tomsula was able to win a few games due to the talent mismatch, but the Lions aren't beating anyone on talent alone.

Game 1 of the season is never a trap game.
