I just believe this team and coaching staff can get the most out of their QB. I think our organization overall is better than a lot of teams in the league.

FWIW Jimmy was also ranked 21st by a panel made up of GMs/coaches (50 total) and 17th overall after the 2019 season, so either NFL personnel across the league is completely wrong on James or some of our fan base might have a little favoritism towards their QB?

I've lost track of how many times we've seen people mock the idea that Jimmy is around the 20th best QB and even though it's so obvious to them that you're wrong they wouldn't dare make a list themselves… they just dare you to make it.
Lol there are tons of teams that would love to have Jimmy. If not for him being able to win games, his Jersey and merchandise sales alone are worth it.

Jimmy is at worst a top 15 QB when healthy. He does all the important stuff right and can lead any organization to some W's. He's talented. He just not an all time great, that's all. He should be starting in this league.

Honestly we don't know who Jimmy would've been had he gone somewhere else. Did anyone expect the impact he had on that 1 win team in 2017? Yes we had Kyle and his playcalling goes a long way but the whole team improved with Jimmy and not just a little…if we could've went to the playoffs we could've had a legit run the way the team was playing with Jimmy.

The issue is the ACL. It's an unknown variable. Last year was supposed to be his breakout year and instead the team and Jimmy broke for the most part.

Jimmy has always been limited but so is Tom Brady or Drew Brees. It's a matter of development and Jimmy couldn't do that because of his injury issues. Well when you're paying a guy that much you can't hold out hope that Jimmy 2017 version on a better roster comes back and stays healthy given recent results.

Lance was a smart choice and I think he'll prove that. But those rankings are based on post ACL Jimmy. ACL injuries aren't just physical they're mental as well. Can we look at the film and see the same QB pre/post ACL? I don't think so. The plays Jimmy made in 2017 simply are far and few in between. It could also be that the beating he was taking took its toll on him. He wouldn't be the first QB ruined by getting his ass beat out there.

I'm excited to watch these guys battle. I think Jimmy despite his rankings and recent bashing by the media is a pretty good NFL QB, he's just not great. But it this competition gets the best out of him that's a benefit for this team either in the trade department or in the may the best man win department.

Lance is showing great things out there and if the option is have great camp hype or hear bad camp news…I'm taking the hype all damn day.

BUT for me and my sanity I want to see the kid play in a game where defenders can and want to hit you before I really get excited and want him staring over Jimmy right away.

If you start from the top teams down i think jimmy can win for a lot of them

The bottom teams, any QB will struggle.. heck we were a bottom team when jimmy came along. Even beat two playoff teams late in the season who were fighting for playoff seeding like the Jags (who had a shot a #2 w/some help)

but all of this QB that QB is fantasy. We have jimmy and trey. One QB that isn't a highlight reel but can get it done. Then we got the future who's checking all the boxes do far.

Our prayers have been answered on getting a future star who has potential to give us better QB. It's time to sit back and enjoy

Top 15?. That seems a little too high for someone who's had one decent year throughout his entire career.

Better than anyone else we've had since 2002. So I enjoy his play and especially the W's. We don't seem to get them with any of the other QBs.

Regardless, Trey is going to be special!

If as reported we were only offered a 6th for Jimmy, that's probably a good sign of how he's viewed outside.

I didn't want jimmy, but we have'em he won me over early.. now i just want the most experiece guy out there and hope for the best

That's the thing though, experience isn't everything. Hoyer had more experience than Jimmy when he first got here and how did they compare that year? Trey won't get experience without playing. Also, I want a guy who can do things in this offense we haven't seen yet, most importantly things opposing defenses haven't seen yet.

Thank god we don't have Hoyer on the team right

as for Trey, lets hope we can see a scoring drive in scrimmage first. baby steps
