Shannahan wanted Bradley before he hired Saleh but was turned down by Bradley. I think Bradley could take what Saleh has done here and run the defense well. The Chargers defense is talented but they have been hurt by injuries too. James has been out. Joey Bosa has been in and out of the lineup. Melvin Ingram is on IR. I'm not sure if Shannahan would be comfortable with Demeco Ryans calling the defense. He may be good with it since he hired Saleh who never called a defense before.

Sean McVay hired a relative unknown in Brandon Staley and he's been excellent.

That's what I want, a talented young up and comer.

Of the d/c's you mentioned, I'd take Raheem. I'm afraid Shanny will pull a Mccarthy and hire Quinn like he did Nolan. I'd love Fangio as my number one.

This would allow them to maintain continuity, which is huge. If they bring in someone from the outside, there's no guarantee guys like Kocurek stick around. Most DCs do not run wide 9 in base.

I just can't see the Broncos firing Fangio this soon... it's not like he's had much of an opportunity to work with a full defense.

I expect that is what Shanahan will go with. He saw something in Saleh, I'm sure he's got a list of other up and coming young defensive coaches and a guy like Ryans might very well atop that list.
