SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS vs GREEN BAY PACKERS - 2020 Game 9

I've watched a lot of Niner football but this has to be the first season where I've seen a good team get completely defeated by the worst luck. It's so bad how unlucky we are this year and it's not like we were due for bad luck either. You gotta hope our fortune flips next year and averages things out

So uh, I just got home from work. I don't want to go watch the replay, do I?

Welp, I guess it's basically offseason. Someone fire up the Jalen Hurd thread.

You don't need to watch it - it was basically a scrimmage.

It is all Jimmy G's fault

Wanting to tank is why there are words like fairweather and bandwagon to describe fans.

I understand the frustration and anger. But inside that organization NO ONE is talking tanking or quitting.

This is a forum so use your voices and vent and applaud and cheer.

In the meantime, try not to embarrass us fans that are faithful. We accept the ups and downs of football because we are just FANS, and don't control anything.

Tantrums in the grocery store, because you didn't get the candy off the shelf, are embarrassing.

Go 9ers

So we should play hard and try to go 8-8 and get a pick outside of top 10?
Good thing no fans this since nobody would be showing up anyways

Eh, those four wins came when the team was at least trying to overcome the adversity. It just got to a point where the pile got way too high and the whole thing collapsed.

I can't blame them for scratching and clawing to hold on, but let's be real: the chances for this season were blown up with Bosa's knee in the 6th quarter of the season.

Great post and 100% this.
I agree that the chances of returning to the SB all but ended in game one when Bosa and then Sherman were injured. The offense was good last year but it was the D that made the difference, especially Bosa and Ford (when he was in there). I barely watched the game last night since it really looked like a pre season game after one team takes most of the starters out. Two more wins at the most.

This, I got so deflated after that game even tho we won easily. The main thing that got us to the SB an explosive pass rush with our best pass rusher and a guy who can't get on the field to save his life was gone.

Some fans will say we still had a good team at that point and that's probably true but Bosa is a difference maker. We wanted someone like him ever since Smith self destructed and then we lose him in the first game. Every team needs a difference maker, a play maker and he was ours on defense.

A game changing pass rusher can win you a game alone, Bosa just got better last year every game and dominated in the playoffs and was easily our best player in the SB. Such a damn shame and s**t year, I just hope by TC he's ready 100% with no restrictions. He tore his acl in high school so there's no doubt he will still be dominant.

we are awesome in garbage time.. did anyone think we would not get blown out? after last weeks horrific loss and the injuries and covid. short week. good qb coming in. i assumed all we would score was field goals last night.. i would like to think getting some guys back will help but we will be lucky if we get 6 wins this year
