Very optimistic, only way that's happening is if our offense takes off which isn't probable, cause defense will still have no pass rush for the rest of the year

You are so quick to give up on a team that made the SB last year just because they didn't win it. This year they have been decimated by injures, and no matter what anyone says officially, that makes a BIG difference.

If you are only a fair weather fan then go someplace else. I sat through the worst years and I watched the best years and I have faith that this team will come back from this devastating loss (and last week's) and show up as the powerhouse team that it is.

If you think I am wrong, then go apply for a professional coaching position and see what results you get.

We had the best pass defense in yards allowed since 2009 jets with Revis and one of the best pass rush lines in a long time. Even if our offense took a crap, a practice squad Allen (147 yards given up and 2 defensive PIs basically 3 tds in 23 Minutes ) not to mention a practice squad slot cb Taylor giving up a 70 yarder to a TE

We win.

INJURIES is the reason we aren't 5-0 plain and simple. Yes our OL is playing like garbage but people seem to forget before Jimmy was injured he was playing excellent against the jets. The Jets are crap but I'm looking at ball placement and accuracy.

So disappointing the injuries but even worse is people not seeing this or saying some typical cliche like injuries happen to every team? Really? What about the QUALITY of the players injured and the NUMBER of injuries.

It is never time to panic. Adjustments, Alterations, whatever. But panicking is never right.,

And the way the injuries cluster around certain positions. Pass rush and DB for example.

No panic just tank. I wouldn't play Sherman,Ford or any other veteran returning to this roster next season.

Yeah, I'm with you - I wouldn't play any of the vets the rest of the season.

I don't believe in tanking but Not playing Dee, Sherman, and whoever else is sketchy on injuries, is just good football. You can call it what you want, but we shouldn't be playing guys who are hurt. Period . And that's not tanking. That is just the right thing to do. If other things downstream benefit from it, so be it. But no tanking.

What was their injury situation? Tennessee also upgraded their QB which pretty much corresponded to their, once Tannehill replaced Mariota (game 6 I believe) they went on a tear. 49ers aren't upgrading their QB this year. The other problem is that the heart and soul of our defense isn't coming back this year at all. 49er defense went from best in division to shambles this year, offense has potential to be prolific but right now it's bottom in NFC West...not a great combo.

We are who we are. 5 weeks into the season and the results have been consistent. The o-line isn't getting any better anytime soon. The secondary is decimated and we can't rush the passer anymore. This is it folks. Jimmy is erratic as ever and we suck at making adjustments. 6-10 type of year.

This year is lost. We lost our pass rush. The team is headed down. They are playing for a draft pick.

We lose against the Dolphins regardless. That game was more than just injuries. We lost to the Cardinals with a healthy enough roster. Only reason Kittle went out is because Jimmy threw it way high and left Kittle exposed. So yeah maybe we could be 3-2 instead of 2-3. Regardless the offensive line and QB play is atrocious even with starters in. The CB position is decimated and that's what happens when you start the year with only 3 good corners on the team. 1 injury away from having a s**tty backup. 3 injuries away from having all s**tty backups getting torched! This team isn't very good this year. Last year felt a little like a fluke and now this year is proving that. Let's stop pretending like this is a 4-1 or 5-0 team. Lucky to pull off 5 wins this year. 4-12

talk to kyle about playing guys who are hurt and should not be playing.. jimmy last weekend
