This doesnt make sense for 2 main reasons.
1) He looked completely washed last season with New England and they cut him because they said his injury never got better.
2) We primarily play out of 21 personnel. 21 personnel does not have the position which Sanu plays.

Agree! If he sucked in BB's offense with TB, he will suck here as well, and anywhere else.
His numbers weren't bad on the Falcons last year.

Exactly. F**kin damned if you do, damned if you don't!!!
I'm a glass half-full kinda guy, so I love it. Even if it doesn't work out, it is clear Lynch and Shanahan are seeing the same things the fans are. Unlike with Baalke who wouldn't make any moves to fill glaring holes with available FAs.
I agree with you, it's the simple fact that they identify a problem and try to fix it. Isn't that what we want as fans, some teams are too stupid and stubborn to identify problems and fix things, see Cincy.
Baalke was the worst GM ever and I am glad Jl & KS are trying to fix the issue until Deebo gets back and Aiyuk can show what he has but I just don't think Sanu is the answer. I suppose JG will at least feel comfortable throwing at Sanu vs Pettis,Taylor. Sure he will catch a few balls and may help us limp through until Deebo gets back, and I hope I am very wrong about Sanu, but I'm not excited about this signing.

Sanu is just a band aid until we get Deebo and Aiyuk back. Quit thinking he's here to replace anyone.

Wow, after the week 1 loss everyone said "we need to make a move for a WR", now it's like "No not Sanu", jesus people, we're not adding a big name WR that makes too much money, we added a WR with experience, just be happy, besides WR isn't the teams biggest problem.

Amen, brother. I'm happy with the team and those running it. Looking forward to seeing our offense when we are healthy, and I think Sanu with thrive much like Anquan Boldin did!

ACT OF DESPERATION... why wait all this time???
This is so stupid.. we sign a guy who couldn't do anything w/Brady at New England.. we signed an Atlanta reject.. is he supposed to be the ANSWER??
Suddenly, he'll start over guys who's been here??

Great, another receiver Jimmy won't throw at unless he's wide open.

no no no... it's going to be like this...
once he settle down.. expectd Shanny to show every fans that this was a great signing... he'll have 5 to 6 plays specially for him that will get him the ball... just like SANDERS last year...
next thing you know, he's going to call some stupid TE end around... OR ... FB OPTION PASS .. fans will again continue to clap and bow down to Shanny and his great design, and next thing you know... we lost the game by a FG because of a stupid 4 and inches call..

it wont hurt, but it wont HELP either..
it wont hurt because he'll get his #s called often and Shanny will get him the ball 5 to 8 times to justify the signing..
it'll hurt because he'll just be taking someone else's spot who can be developing..
it's like the..
JOHNNY MORTON - CURTIN CONWAY - ISAAC BRUCE - STEVEN JOHNSON - BRAYLON EDWARDS - RANDY MOSS - SIGNING !!!

Yeah, but they had to do something, moon. Pettis and Bourne aren't going to cut it right now. We need something until Deebo and Aiyuk get back.

Like the signing...not sure why it took so long. Sanu already knows Coach's offense, so that's a big plus. A longer term WR I'd love to see become a Niner is Allen Robinson. He wants out of Chicago, and who could blame him with their QB play in recent seasons.

I'd love Robinson - could be doable.
