I'm not interested in what he did as a Falcon years ago on a loaded offense. I am interested in what he could provide to OUR team. He was just cut from a team that desperately needs WRs, and the team said they did that because he never healed from his injury.

I just showed you what he could provide, clear as day. The man provides stability at a position we desperately need

You showed me what he provided the Falcons years ago. You have absolutely no idea if he is still that player, especially given the injury. I hope he proves me and New England wrong and he tears it up for us. But I am not going to assume he is the player he was like you seem to have no problem doing.

What does it matter what he can or can't bring to the table, mine, yours and everyone else's opinion doesn't matter if Shanahan approves the signing Right??

Well we might as well shut down the message board since our opinions dont matter.

I didn't say don't discuss or debate Sanu, but if you think he's unable to contribute or not the same player, why would Shanahan even bother??
Or should we just shut down the message board cause of your inability to accept things??
Are you seriously using an "appeal to authority" argument? C'mon, man.

Did I say something wrong, I can't state the obvious, whats the problem??

Dude won't be much of an upgrade if at all. If he wasn't washed up he would of been signed already somewhere. He made no impact on the patriots last year, and if you can't do anything there. I doubt he does anything here

he did things when he was with Kyle Shanny last, no?
This thread is hilarious. Everybody is crying about needing WR help. The 49ers sign one of the best WRs on the market and everybody is crying about that now. lol

I'm a glass half-full kinda guy, so I love it. Even if it doesn't work out, it is clear Lynch and Shanahan are seeing the same things the fans are. Unlike with Baalke who wouldn't make any moves to fill glaring holes with available FAs.

That won't happen. Kyle and John shook off that possibility when an ex steelers coach told them that AB sometimes chooses games to "not block". That's not the players this team signs.

Go, Sanu, go!

Can't be any worse than Dante Pettis at least KB got open a few times. Pettis was trash and the only pass thrown his way he didn't even try to make a play on. Really hope Aiyuk can go this week. At least make the defense have one guys speed they have to account for. Sanu ain't a speedster.

Not what Tim Ryan and Eric Davis said on the radio. He was open a few times. Not his fault if the ball doesn't get thrown his way.
All reports were he was the hottest WR in camp. Pettis isn't going anywhere yet.

I don't see a downside to this signing. If he flourishes, then great. Jimmy G has another weapon. If not, then cut his ass. I'm more worried about the defensive scheme than I would be receiver.

Why? They improved over how they played the cards last year

They wilted in the 4th Q and gave up 14 points.

I agree with you, it's the simple fact that they identify a problem and try to fix it. Isn't that what we want as fans, some teams are too stupid and stubborn to identify problems and fix things, see Cincy.

This doesnt make sense for 2 main reasons.

1) He looked completely washed last season with New England and they cut him because they said his injury never got better.

2) We primarily play out of 21 personnel. 21 personnel does not have the position which Sanu plays.

Agree! If he sucked in BB's offense with TB, he will suck here as well, and anywhere else.

Sanu is a body which we need. Knows the offense. Can't be worse than pettis

I agree he can't be worse than Pettis but 2 wrongs don't make a right either.

Pre-ankle injury I'd say Sanu, but as of right now Sanders.

Then you'll say wrong. Sanders has always been a better WR than Mohamed Sunu and it's not even close lol. Both guys have had injuries with Sanders having had the worse with ruptured left Achilles tendon. He still came back from that and was better than Sanu.

Sanders 2012-2019 stats - 7,244 yards, 39TDs, 554 catches
Sanu 2012-2019 stats - 4507 yards, 26TDs, 403 catches

Yah, regardless of stats, I think Sanu was definitely the much better receiver. While Sanders had the luxury of playing with Roethelisberger and Peyton Manning. While Sanu had to endure the era Andy Dalton. Sure Sanu has played with Matt Ryan, and when given the shot he still almost put 1,000 yards with Julio Jones, Austin Hooper and Justin Hardy. In the end I just think Sanu did more with less, that's why I think he was the better receiver IMO.
