Well, Bosa isnt a speed rusher either, but hes still faster than other guys that we tried playing at edge like Sol and so on. That was my point with Deion vs Ziggy
Deion was more of "speed rusher" coming out of college, he won with length and his athletic ability. His biggest issue outside of being raw was he lacked power and a defined role coming into the NFL.
Ziggy was an athletic animal as well, also raw. Dude was like 30+ LBs bigger than Jordan.
Neither are real "speed rushers" Though.

Dion Jordan signing is simple:
— David Lombardi (@LombardiHimself) August 5, 2020
49ers averaged over 4 sacks per game when they had either Dee Ford, Ronald Blair or Damontre Moore available in 2019 (quality DE opposite Nick Bosa).
That dropped to 1 sack per game without either of those three. It's critical to have edge depth

"Greedy!"
Once Dion Jordan is officially aboard, the 49ers will have three top-5 draft picks on their defensive line — but only one of those players will be a first-stringer, and none of them will among the top-2 in terms of pay.

The 49ers are also up to *6* (!!) first-round D-linemen

I generally agree with Lombardi, but Lol at Moore really being a part of that equation

Moore played pretty well actually. The dropoff was when we put Zettel and that other guy I cant remember his name.

Nice. Maybe his substance abuse is all behind him and we get the best he has to offer.

I think the issue is that Moore has played a whole two games, and he got hurt in one of them.

So true. Dropped off a cliff after Moore broke his forearm making that sideline tackle.

I do call for a break out year for him. He has one of the best d line coaches to coach him up and he is surrounded with all-pros. Between this and jordan reed, the 49ers have made some solid moves. I'm somewhat impressed.
