He will be a George Pickens on any other team

Let's not forget his value as a blocker in the running game.
With Kittle a big question mark early, JJ has more value than if Kittle would be healthy from the jump.

His value in the running game isn't worth the $22 Million a year he is apparently asking for. Personally, I'd rank him in the $12-$15 million a year category. Not that I think he's worth $15 million a year, but the league is what it is when it comes to salaries these days. A lot of those top end guys don't deserve what their getting either, but what are you going to do.
The thing with Jennings is that I'm still thinking about a video Jonnydel did where he pointed out that half of the interceptions Brock and Mac threw last year were on balls to Jennings. It could simply be that as the most experienced WR on the team, in terms of the system, maybe they were looking for him in more situations, but it seems like several of those picks were on balls that went off his hands, or he got undercut on the route. That being said, he does compete and Kyle seems to like him, so for the right price it could be worth it. I wonder if though if maybe Saleh would like to bring him home to Tennessee. I could see that happening as well,

I love JJ but he has been forced into the WR1 role because of circumstances here the last 2 or so years and he just isn't built for that. He has a lot of uses and is a good player to have but we can't have a bunch of big slow guys who struggle getting open against man coverage.
Evans, Pearsall, and someone like Watkins is a good mixture of speed, size, agility. I'd like JJ to be in that mix but having Evans and jj on the field at the same time isn't great for getting open against good teams.
simply put, JJ has serious limitations when you take him outside of his 2nd or 3rd WR roles. That's a risk when you're talking $20M+. I'd keep him if we can get him in the $14M range but I don't think that's likely.

Wonder if we would still be interested in bringing him back if the price is right?

doubt if he fits into our financial plans at this point.

We'd be dumb not to take him back at the right price. His contribution to the team is more than just his receiving stats.
But, yeah, I don't see it happening. Both sides have probably moved on.

I'm curious if he has had any offers and just isn't happy with where teams have his value at etc.

The most likely scenario is that he doesn't like his offers and is waiting to see if any team will up the offer, including the 49ers. Hence all the "49ers will likely lose Jauan" social posts. He's a 700yd/yr receiver with limitations and has to come to terms with that.

FWIW:
"I'd like to see wide recevier Jauan Jennings go to the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens need better secondary pass catchers and receivers who are willing to block, as new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle stems off of two offenses (Sean Payton and Ben Johnson) that ask their receivers to get dirty in the running game. Jennings is one of the league's best blocking wideouts, but he also has a strong stick-moving game that combines physicality, tough YAC and reliable hands.
Jennings would pair nicely with Zay Flowers and would have the opportunity to become an explosive, every-down WR2. A prove-it one-year deal with a lot of incentives makes sense." -- Ben Solak, NFL analyst
If a prove-it deal is the best he can do, he would be better off to come back to SF.

Team announced they would love to have him back, at the right price. Does F/A drag on until his demands drop to that price we have to wait and see but as far as F/A goes it's clear he's not a tier 1 player to other teams so he could be sitting for a while. If he's unsigned by the draft I would say the odds of him coming back however will increase greatly even if we draft a WR or two....can never have enough.

I'd rather have him back than re-sign Deebo

Jennings has been a huge part of our offense for years now. Elevates his play in big games too. I think you have to find a way to bring him back if he is willing to come back on any type of reasonable offer.
