At this point, it does not appear Jauan Jennings' shoulder injury is serious. Some good injury news after a rough one on Monday. https://t.co/5YHkWX92Ot

Hopefully the shoulder doesn't mess with his mentality even if he's physically fine. We saw that with mason running scared last year trying to protect his shoulder when he came back.
Mason did look good yesterday though.
Hopefully Juan is fine and does not let it get in his head.
His game is physicality so if he gets soft at all he will suck because he's not fast or especially physically gifted at anything.

I hope the injury is ok. Sounds ok on the MRI. CT scan still pending. He bet on himself to make more money. But it's dangerous too. Because 3 years and $45 million was pretty good. He may get like $17 million a year in free agency. But he has to stay healthy for that. It's a big risk. I seriously doubt he gets $20 million. But he may get above what we offered. Assuming he stays healthy and puts up another big year.

Maybe they can give him $3 million more in incentives to magically heal his shoulder like they did with his calf.

Additional scans today on Jauan Jennings' shoulder came back clean, and the 49ers wide receiver avoided any significant injury, per source. Jennings now will be considered day to day, and has a chance to play Sunday at New Orleans. pic.twitter.com/QAqvPVY3L9

That's good news, we're going to need him with Kittle out.

That's an interesting thought. Given the degree to which Jennings embraces the physicality of the game, that thought wouldn't have crossed my mind unless you mentioned it, but the brain is a funny ol' thing--especially when you stick them on a WR.
I'm not worried, but you do raise an interesting point.

He played 50 snaps and got 2 catches. It's not like he was transforming the game when he was healthy. He was struggling to get open. Need someone else to draw attention to help him be single covered and get a clean release. His blocking doesn't really matter if the line can't keep the backs clean through the line.
How are the other WRs doing? Watkins?

He was rusty from not playing all training camp. He is now on a prove it laden contract. He cant play poorly on purpose if he wants to get paid as a free agent next season. He has to do all he can to show that he will be worth top WR money next year and get the 49ers an extra 3rd comp pick

Agree. And also why his $$ request was absurd.

5 catches.....89 yards.....1 TD.....42 Long (to the house).
Top 49ers WR in the game.
I've said it for years. He's a really, really good player. He has it all except straight line speed. But everything else. From height, weight, reach, length, great routes, excellent hands, will muscle the ball away from defenders, will bulldoze as a blocker, even jump on the loose ball fumble. Just a great player except straight line speed. But he's of the Anquan Boldin mold. All other aspects of the game he has to a high degree.

Numbers were good but he dropped a lot of passes today. Boldin also had incredible YAC as a WR that Juan doesn't.
