I think the team handled this correctly by not giving in.

Agreed. If Jauan wanted a pay bump, he probably should have broached the topic in the spring, when the team could have found some cobination these outcomes: a way to fit him under the cap, found a viable replacement, or found a suitable trade partner.

Good to see him back. Now prepare for the Seabirds.

I feel for Jauan.. He got a decent mid-tier contract last off season.. Out played his contract value last season and wanted a pay raise.. Buuuut.... We can't dump anymore money into the Wr position right now 🤷🏾‍♂?.. I hope he balls out and cashes out in FA next off season.

Remember Aiyuk said last offseason he wasn't worried about nobody but him and his money. He knew it would affect Deebo and JJ but he just wanted his money and he got it then got injured and now we're paying him accordingly so JJ has to play out his deal then go get paid elsewhere

5.6 million option bonus makes the leg feel better.

For real!

This whole procedure that players go through now to get a contract extension is BS. Really getting old and predictable.
Methinks his calf issue was a good amount of BS
Is his hair still blue is the real question 🤔

It's a Labor Day miracle.

Honestly, when has there been a player hold out through camp and come back a 100%? Ayuik, Deebo, and Bosa all had slow starts after getting paid.

Bourne also missed almost all of TC with an injury, so I'm not sure why he would fare better. At least Purdy and JJ already have an established rapport.

Call Agent, Low on Funds
Every player is healthy except 1, I'm thinking guys will do anything to get out of training camp at this point.

Football is the real money ball sport.

Huh.....didn't know that. How motivated is JJ going to be? Contrzct year so maybe he is.
52 of the 53 players on the 53 man roster were practicing today. Only Jordan Watkins was missing and he is close to returning. Now ofcourse this doesn't include BA and Malik who are starting the season on the PUP and IR. Or Robinson who is suspended the 1st 3 games.
Lock in. Stay healthy and make yourself some big $ next offseason JJ(and us a better comp pick)
