Lessons surely were learned. Time to draw the line on this childish s**t.

Bingo
Therein lies the problem. The time to put their foot down was last year with BA, but they made a mistake, and they recognize it.
This is a lesson the team learned from last year. You can't reward Hold-Ins.
I get that he has been clutch and meant a lot for us at times, but they can't reward JJ after this, and I don't think they will.

Not really. They keep talking about Aiyuk getting $30M a year, but that's just for the media. The reality is they are probably going to cut Aiyuk before 2027 having paid him less than half of that deal it's so back loaded.

We need him back and healthy. He's our most reliable guy of this group. I would like to go into the season with him. He's Brock's favorite move the chains guy.

Don't mind the holdout but it's the childish social media tactics that's getting old. Truth be it they harm themselves more following whatever their agent is telling them.
Do it the Bosa and Trent way, stay away from the field and just shutup publicly.

They hoped to win the superbowl last year, so they succumbed to Aiyuk's demands. I don't think they'll do that again

With Pearsall, Kittle and CMC healthy he is going to be the 4th option in the passing game and when Robinson comes back I think they are gonna split targets and then Aiyuk will come back and his targets are gonna fall even more.
He isn't that important.

Who is going to be the WR opposite Pearsall if he can't/doesn't play week 1? Robbie Chosen? Cowling is out, Gage is likely out, Watkins is likely out.
Seattle has a good defense and their DC has given Purdy fits. We need all of the viable receiving targets we can get.

Who cares.
If we can't beat a mediocre Seattle team with Pearsall/Kittle/CMC and Purdy throwing the ball we have bigger issues than a slow and limited WR that won't be able to replicate what he did last season.

Foolish take as if this is some type of cakewalk game. Beyond week 1's behind unpredictable in general, it's a game on the road in a tough environment.
It won't be an easy game, and we need any players we can get

Is he gonna be in football shape though. How real is his injury or was this a contract issue?

He has way to much to lose. Paychecks are still huge for him, this is a contract year, and with Ayuik and other receivers out he's poised to pick up where he left off. If he does we might give him an extension later in the season.
If not it shows other teams it wasn't a fluke year. That being said he is actually very valuable. His stats might not show it but dude consistently converts 3rd downs

Injured and no camp. Don't expect a whole lot if he does
