Coach is referencing the same tweet I mentioned earlier. I've heard the guy has sources as I believe he had Brock's deal first(that or George's)

Not sure if he's just gotten lucky before and got some people I trust to buy what he's selling(he actually blocked me on there for some reason and I never remember talking to him lol)

But with JJ getting dinged up(hopefully nothing major) I'll be curious if this was legit or not. Definitely a more than fair deal if true.

Alas nothing outside of that rumor yet.

A LOT better than some people's prediction of $20M a year for 5 years.

$13M is completely reasonable.

I would have been ok with paying him $16 million a season. So $13 million is great!

He would have loved to land $15M a year to match his number, but UNO CINCO should be more than happy w/the 13M !!

Uno Cinco the best !!!!

LETS GO NINERSSS !!!

I hate to reference him but Grant Cohn said the 49ers are going to extend JJ for 3 years for $45M. It will be interesting to see what the void years/signing bonus/out terms are on the deal and how front loaded it is.

This guy is posting about it. He's had some inside info before.

49ers guy is plugged in. Contract stuff can change day to day though. Wouldn't be shocked if they get something done and maybe that's why he's got a "calf injury" currently
It's a good deal and he's worth it. I honestly think he would get $15 million a year on the open market. $13 million is a steal for him and still under valued. Keep in mind he was not a complete free agent and didn't have the negotiating power. So for those saying he got less. He didn't have the negotiating power. The 49ers just did him a solid. Probably like $17 million on the fully open market.

A few weeks ago people were saying he'd get $20M a year easy. $13M is a reasonable deal.

If this year goes well then next year the WRs are Aiyuk, Pearsall, Cowing as the top 3 with Watkins, and JJ as substitutes.

I think Cowing is the backup. Jennings is tough to get off the field. He's capable of 1,000 yards and 7 TD's. Had he not been thrown out he would have had that. So Aiyuk (if healthy), Jennings and Pearsall are your 3 WR'S set. The others as backups.

same "injury" BA was dealing with during his hold in

I think Cowing and Jennings are situational. Cowing hopefully is more explosive but Jennings is more capable of winning in traffic. Jennings is better on running plays (which is good for him in the slot because he can act like a motion TE).

Short of a lot of significant injuries Jennings is not going to sniff 1000 yards.
Why do our receivers always have to tweet out weird s**t during negotiations?

Well, Deebo and Aiyuk both got paid after acting like that, so every WR in the world knows that if you want the 49ers to pay you, you need to act like they did.

What was it this time?
