Just pay him, he actually shows up and plays

So we shouldn't have paid Trent or Bosa who held out into camp? What happens if he doesn't "show up" tomorrow? Is he officially dead to you? Should we move him?

He won't come into camp fat

Who was fat?

You and I have respectfully disagreed on Aiyuk since last year. We have had receivers have career years on their contract year which has inflated their worth which in turn hurt us. I'm to a point where unless it's Jefferson or Chase level receiver you just trade em or let em walk. It's not a position lacking in draft prospects.

And I think that's a fair way to look at it. That's your philosophy for that position. Kinda how I feel at RB.

I feel like Deebo's career yr was different than BA's yr.

IMO we saw this pass game go down (along with Brock's play) last yr when we didn't have a true separator out there. BA can do that, he was having his own problem with drops but overall we know that's not the norm there.

This one will hurt if Juan gets traded. With BA being gone which will probably be for about 5 to 6 games this year. Not that i'm a big fan of BA's I would have let him walk last year also.

I don't mind the request by Juan I think he deserves it.

He has earned an extension. Pay the man what he is worth. He is just breaking out so we are not talking about BA $$$.

The wr depth chart is a mess, its really tragic. Just pay jennings and move on, thats what you get for backing yourself into a corner.

It looks pretty good to me.

What looks good?

WR depth chart looking 2005 bad

Oof

damn...
15-17k seems very reasonable to me given his performance and the market. It's not like BA asking for over 30etc. I would think it's not a major cap hurdle either so the question is do they want to keep him?

Khalil Shakir type contract?
He just signed an extension last year... apparently it was fine then.
I just hope he communicated his desire for a new deal to the team long before this report. To wait until training camp is about to start is a jerk move. Just be upfront and honest about it (again, he may have and it is only being reported now).
His own damn fault he outplayed his signed extension last year lol

He deserved more money to align with his production, but how much more ...

I'm not too schooled on how contracts work in the NFL. Let's say the 49ers adds 5mil to his contract this year based on on his performance last year to make him happy…is that allowed or does a new contract with new negotiations have to be accomplished?

Not sure JJ would settle for 15-17k

They have the cap space but I know they're hoping to use that for other players down the road. Some of it will be used for Purdy's new deal. I hope they resolve this without overpaying him.

I think BA will be back by week 5.
